I’ve been playing ascension on and off for a good 6-7 years now. It’s the only private server that truly won’t betray you. It really is amazing guys I’d give it a go. In my opinion the realm area 52 is better because you can free pick any spell or talent where as the seasonal server is mostly RNG, I hope to see you guys join soon!

I did like it a few years ago but dang it is so bloated and complicated now. Almost as if they implemented every idea and suggestion anyone had ever had, good or bad. Also if you don’t Kay for a while you will lose all your build settings. Not just the builds but the strings. And the amount of hours it takes to do a build makes this unfortunate fact the worst. It would be easy very easy for them to keep the code strjngs of your build locally in appdata if they truly didn’t want to save your build codes server side. So don’t take a break unless you’re prepared to start from scratch, and understand you will have to do a lot of homework

It depends where the server is hosted. Turtle wow has been going a long time, has more active players than most era and sod servers, and makes a lot of money. If blizzard could take these types of servers down they would, but they're hosted in a country where blizzard has no legal authority to do anything about it. The private servers that blizzard has managed to shut down were all either in the US or in countries with strong US ties.

Just because a country has no treaties with another country doesnt mean they simply can ignore legal requests, especially considering who now owns activision/blizzard. The only reason any private server exists is purely by the grace of blizzard; Or in other words they dont care enough to take it down unless you are being especially egregous.

@ratmanblackgrew7846 i began playing back in 06-07 and was obsessed hardcore for about 6 months, then just played casually but stopped fully before the third expansion. All to say those noobs were pretty bad and greedy as fuck, but i can't imagine nowadays. This game makes me feel nostalgic, I even remember like yesterday when I picked up the "Free Trial" disks from Best Buy for like 10 bucks if I remember right. I was so excited taking the bus home to spend 15 fkn hours installing the damn game -__- i remember seeing the 30gb install and almost panicking by how gigantic the game was 🤣🤣🤣

I don't know about that. If people make a mistake and can't go back to fix it, they're not just going to keep playing a sub optimal character. That's like running into a wall head first. BUT if re-rolls aren't allowed, it prevents the creation of a "meta" build that everyone has to follow or be excluded from dungeons and raids, like in regular WoW. Idk.

Thats how it used to be , but you can just create a new character and level it over and over again until you get what you want. It's also frustrating if two people level up and one gets super lucky rng and a god build and the other gets the poop end of a stick, so the rerolls are okay

Once the season ends, characters merge into Area 52 so you can continue to play them! Their Wildcard status is changed to Free Pick.

We have a full time team dedicated to making the game the best it can be, including balance, making new items to fit the wide array of combinations you can choose, and creating new content like new dungeons, expanded raid mechanics, and the Manastorm. There are TONS of ways to play, an extremely healthy population, and lots to do.

Never had an issue with ascension, I’ve been playing it off and on for several years. What virus scan software do you use? I just use the built in windows scan as well as the software provided by my ISP and it was never detected, it’s never given me an issue. Make sure you download from ascension official website, not an off website.

This is one of the best places for playing WoW in a way that feels lore appropriate when you do a full custom build, because of characters in lore like Arthas or Anduin Wrynn who have powers from different classes. I hope they eventually do a legion build, because I'd like to play a lore accurate demon hunter. Like Needle, who uses 'daggers' (basically the fiery poker)
