I'm glad that I finally got to experience the hardcore nature of classic WoW. I started when cata came out and never really got the chance. I was getting bored and tired of the game when BfA came out since it was another expansion with rep grind after rep grind but WoW classic, and its non-linear questing, combat leveling system, old towns and cities that haven't been destroyed, and long progression system that requires you to interact with people honestly revitalized my love, interest, and overall addiction to WoW. EDIT: Fun Fact: the cloth map in this press kit is very similar to the one inside the WoW collectors edition from 2004.

never played WoW, but saw how addictive it was, and still is for the extreme, so I avoided it. I didn't want a game to take over my life. I know of a guy where he was a semester away from graduating with a bachelors degree, had a really good job lined when he was going to graduate, going to get married, but found WoW, stop going to school, didn't graduate, his fiancé left him because he didn't leave anytime for her, and just got a crappy apartment, got a crappy job at Walmart just enough to pay for rent and internet so he could play WoW all the time when he wasn't working. sad sad sad. I don't know of anymore extreme story than that for any game.
