This was an awesome beginning to roleplaying in wow. I really like the sound of your voice to listen to. So I was a bit shocked to see that the video only has 92 views and you 58 subscribers. This should be WAY higher. I do hope you can still find the motivation to continue the series. I was sad to see that part 2 doesn't exist. Let me know if you'll continue the series :)

I cant tell you how much this comment means to me. I had a really hard time getting into making videos because I hated the sound of my own voice, and whenever someone tells me otherwise I genuine feel really good, so thank you. I will be making the next part of this guide sometime in the near future hopefully, your comment showing there was some interest in these guides was the exact motivation I needed, thank you again, classic is taking up alot of my free time, but I already got the script written so the hard parts done.

@anonymous guy The barrier to entry is super low, in comparison to San Andreas RP, that its really easy for you to jump in and try out. I'm currently putting the finishing touches on part 2 of this guide, so it should be out shortly. A good guild or solid RP group can make a huge difference as well, I'll be covering that at some point to. Since you're undecided, mind if I ask whats holding you back or what your pondering?

bro, you don't know how massive a sigh of relief i did just to hear you clarify the part about RP servers being scary cuz we think we have to be IC 100% of the time. LITERALLY the reason i started watching video guides cuz i wanted to learn more but was scared and it's so great to hear the addon toggle makes things less intimidating. ty for this vid sm!

Hey I'm glad to hear that was helpful! Yes, its a big misconception around RP servers. In fact I know plenty of people that play on RP servers but dont like RP at all, its just that the world feels much more filled and its the closest you can get to that old school mmo sense of community.

You can tell someone is a death knight pretty easily, they're dead. They're going to look like a reanimated corpse. Unless they're using a glamor spell, they'll be pretty easy to spot right off the bat my dude.

Late but I can help. Let's say you have a session between Gor'Mack the Orc Warrior, Bringo the Goblin, and Gor'Mack's wife Asgra. Bringo insults Asgra by referring to her as something less than savory. Angered, Gor'Mack throws a punch at Bringo. There are multiple ways you can do this, a simple "Gor'Mack attempts to punch Bringo" (/e helps for this a lot because it'll make it look like an NPC emote instead of just text so "/e attempts to punch Bringo") Or alternatively you can be way more flavory with it: "Gor'Mack clutches his hand into a rage-filled fist, reeling it back as he attempts to sucker-punch the Goblin across the face". It all depends on what you're more comfortable with, I like being a bit more flavory with my RP but pacing is also really important, if you're in the middle of an all-out brawl where Gor'Mack and Bringo are rapidly exchanging blows, nobody likes waiting 5 minutes for you to type out a response. After Gor'Mack successfully clobbers Bringo for his insolence, he looks towards a distraught Asgra, and goes to hug here. Here, much like with punching, you can be varying levels of "flavorful" with your writing, it can be as simple as "Gor'Mack spreads his arms and steps towards Asgra for a hug", to "Gor'Mack, seeing his maiden distressed, opens his arms. A low sigh escaping his breath as he glances back to the goblin, "Come here, it's okay." Gor'Mack says, stepping closer to comfort Asgra." So in short it all really depends.

Trial by fire is the best way to learn lol, guides mostly exist to help people that are nervous. Starting out rping can be nerve racking.

I don't understand this kind of RP. WoW already has a combat system. To punch someone in the face, you duel them. Declare a fist-duel with no spells, abilities or weapons, then duke it out. It's as simple as that. Seems the RP community has evolved a culture of the blind leading the blind.
