well-made review and well-played, sir. Watching this video, I caught sometimes you seems to control rudder. If you don't mind, (although the below seems rude) I wanna recommend equip Lightweight power unit instead of Uprated engine and it will help you evade more succesfully. - KAIM

Love the speed build. Get boosted speed over 500 mph at level flight. I use stauffenberg in this plan to get some extra maneuverability because she is a 14 pt pilot and her head on damage (you mentioned this in your prior video)

That build is my preference too, but I've had notice that there are some using the manoeuvrability build happily. I mention the use of von Staufen in the pilot skills section of this video too.

It's like a single fuselage BF 109 Z. Unfortunately I don't play anymore as I've researched all of the planes I wanted a long time ago... until this came along. Would be nice if these missions came back as I've missed them.😢

That's not a bad way of looking at the plane. Unfortunately, I don't think the missions will ever return. It's possible the plane will become a prize in a loot box. If not, it's likely to be offered for sale, but probably not for a year or so.

@@HiTechOilCo I think since the nerf of the XP-54 they were becoming a little less prevalent. Now, if K-6s are screaming in and walloping them, it seems likely that trend will accelerate. However, replacing one pestilential plane with another isn't what I call a solution!

Thank you for the nice, comprehensive review. One question… I’m still fairly new to the game and noticed I don’t get the same extra characteristics as you do on the gunsight. For me it’s a toss up between critical damage and fire chance, there’s no increased accuracy. Wondering how I could get the same build as you. Aircarft is not specialized, Ive just started playing it.

I think the answer is that, because your plane is not specialised, you are limited to seeing just the pair of bonus characteristics that becomes available when your equipment is at the improved level. Advanced and ultimate equipment levels do not work on unspecialised planes, so the two pairs of bonus characteristics associated with those levels are not appearing for you. I'll have to check this is the correct answer, but I'm fairly sure this is it.

I've since learned about what happens when you mount advanced or ultimate level equipment on unspecialised planes. The main improvement and the negative effect apply, but *all* bonus characteristics (including that associated with the "improved" level) are disabled. Thank you for leading me to learn that!

Great review, informative and precise like all your videos. GJ and thank you. One question re those guns: what's the aim/leading like, is it like in Me 262 or as in HG II? Mind you, not the hitting power - I got it from here, they are the hard hitters - but are they dogfight friendly as in HG II, or a bit of a drag (for me) in 262?

Barely. Most won't manage it and will have to extend the time either by 2 tokens when the mission is active, or with 5 tokens if it is allowed to lapse.

Great video as always sir! Thank you for the work! I was smashed by one of these today in my S-199. I’m assessing my options to counter this plane. This type of plane is not something I will get so I’m interested in how to respond. My thought (based on the planes I have) is perhaps an altitude fighter (P-51D or P-51H), heavy fighter (F7F, XF5U, Bf 109 Z) in a hit & run fashion, not committing to stay close to the K-6 but attempt to deal damage and possibly come back or leave him to my allies. Curious what you would say?

Thank you! To state the blindingly obvious, whatever plane you choose, priority number one is not to get in front of the K-6! If the pilot is inexperienced and turn fights, any tier 7 fighter bar the two jets, the Meteor and the 302, will beat it. If it's well-flown, I would still fancy my chances in a turn fight, but you're likely to find it's using boom and zoom tactics, in which case bring your hardest hitting heavies at high speed to the fight.

The only way to find out is to try it. Go into the training room and see if you like it, for instance, or fly a test flight (reduced income).

if you know how to make a good use of use your in-game manual rudder control then that balanced build works quite well. You still have Dive and Boost acceleration when you need it. (Which are both strengths of the K and vital for energy fighting) While the LPU grants decent enough rudder authority when you need it. (which will be an unwelcome surprise to quite a few of the players that manage to keep up with your speed) You will of course have to accept that you are no longer the *All Go, No Quit, at All Times* that a pure speed build grants you.

It sounds like you're asking about me personally, in which case I lost most of the sight in my right eye in March 2022. It's a "acute ischaemic optic neuropathy", technically, which means nobody really knows what happened and there's no treatment.

Nice review! So bad they give us only 2 days to activate and do the operation, I know you can extend for 2 more days over and over paying 2 tokens, but I can't use tokens because I have them for the Vampire F1 and XP-55 which I can grind because they are like forever and I only play one hour a day. May I suggest you use the tokens on the K-6? As slowly as you may accrue replacement tokens, the Ascender and Vampire missions are in place permanently. The K-6 missions will go away forever at the end of the month. Whatever you decide, good luck, and thank you for the kind words about the video.

Two tokens are nothing. Just use any bomber or attack aircraft from tier 7 onwards and in a decent game it's certain you'll get Thunder and Winged Legend, here goes your two tokens. Also, weekly challenges are easy and you will complete them eventually if you try a little....

Probably, if I had happened to light upon War Thunder instead of WoWp I would have liked it, but I didn't. This isn't an "either/or" situation, in my opinion, but if I were to play another flight game, I'd be looking for something with a different twist, like Ace Combat 7, or much greater realism than War Thunder provides, like DCS.
