@@TheNobleQ - My thoughts have been with you, especially yesterday, the day of your Father's funeral. Nothing can undue that pain and feeling of loss. It will always be there. I know this from personal experience. It doesn't get any better. When a parent passes on, it leaves a hole in our heart that no one else can fill. No one can take a parent's place. Many of us, (myself included), at least subconsciously tend to see our parents as somehow indestructible, as they brought us into this world, so how could they ever leave this world? It's not that we take them for granted, but it just somehow seems impossible they could ever be gone. It's more than a feeling than a thought. You are a good man and don't let anyone ever tell you differently. They are not worth your time. You can be sure your father is very proud of you. It's one of the reasons I try to help you as much as possible to build up your KZbin channel. In the hope that it will help you even a little, I will tell you about my own parent passing away and how I have dealt with it. It wont be short, but I hope it helps you. I'll try to tell recount this story without tears spilling down my cheeks, but I doubt I will succeed. My mother passed away due to hospital neglect. I took care of her in her elderly years, (as you with your father). Her care was my responsibility, both as her son and as her Healthcare Proxy. So I felt a very heavy responsibility for taking care of her, especially when my brothers didn't do much at all to help me take care of her, (which I'm sure caused her emotional pain, as it did me too), which as you know is an around the clock responsibility and much has to be sacrificed in order to live up to that responsibility. So when she passed away, it was particularly devastating for me. This is something my brothers have no clue about and they could seem to care less, even 24 years later. When I came home from her funeral, my life didn't seem to have much point, as my Mother was gone. My responsibility of taking care of her, that I dedicated 100% of my life too, was over. There was now just an empty void. It felt inside as if the tears in my heart that fell echoed forever. A year later, my lady said to me, "You don't smile anymore". :( When you don't have any joy in your life, there is noting to smile about, especially when that joy was ripped away from you by incompetent and uncaring people. There was just nothing in my life that could even come close to my Mother and what she meant to me. I decided that even after her passing, I could at very least still honor her as her son by dedicating myself to be the best I could be at anything I did in my life. Again, not for myself, but in her honor, as her son. This gave me purpose and reason to go on without her in my life. Shortly thereafter, I came across the game Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator, which was a flight simulator for W.W.II planes. My mother instilled a love of history in me at a very young age, when she told me about the W.W.II F4U Corsair fighter plane and how it got it's nickname, "Whistling Death". In a shallow dive, (as like in a strafing run), the air passing through the wing-mounted radiators makes a chilling whistling noise, so hence the name, "Whistling Death". Just before the Japanese attacked the U.S. at Pearl Harbor, my Mother had just earned her private pilots license and wanting to do her part in winning the war, she dropped out of college, landing a job with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a Flight Instructor. She taught many U.S. W.W.II pilots how to fly. :) So she had taught me to fly too. So in Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator, playing against the game on my computer, it was not much of a challenge for me. But then I noticed a link in the game that said, "Fly against pilots from all over the world". Now that really caught my attention and I clicked on it, which took me to the online website for that game. There were hundreds and hundreds of rooms each with a battle going on with real players from all over the world. This was something I could really sink me teeth into! :) But before I could join the online combat, I had to select a handle, or screen name. I thought about what kind of name I could select that would honor my Mom and it dawned on me, "Whistling Death". So it was and I've used that handle ever since. :) I entered my first combat room and there was a player waiting for a challenger. We agreed that the first to seven kills would win the match and so I went in to blow this rookie out of the sky, or so I thought. :) Battle after battle, they shot me down without me so much as getting a single round into their plane. I was surprised and figured he had to be cheating somehow. I can fly and I knew the planes. This should not be happening. But they won 7 to 0. In the chat room afterwards I thought I'd feel out this player to try and determine if they were cheating. To strike up a conversation I asked, "So where are you from?" and they responded, "I'm from Chicago, Illinois, but I'm in Okinawa, Japan right now". I was surprised and confused, so I said, "What in the world are you doing in Okinawa, Japan?". They responded, "I'm an F-15 driver for the U.S. Air Force"! lol :) So now I didn't feel so bad. lol :) I had been shredded by a professional combat pilot and there was more than one in that game. Right there I learned there's a big difference between being able to just fly a plane and fly a plane in combat. I researched the best fighter pilots in the world and how they achieved their aeronautical feats. The best combat pilot in the world was Erich Hartmann of the W.W.II German Luftwaffe with 352 planes shot down. That turned me off a bit, as he had been fighting for the wrong side, the side of evil. But the more I read about him, the more I saw that he was not a Nazi, but just a man who was fighting for his country when he was called upon. To try and defend his country, his family and his beloved wife Ursula. He was a regular person who disdained war and all the horrible things associated with it. He racked up 352 planes shot down, a record that will stand for all time. I learned he used the boom and zoom tactic to achieve this and so that's what I used in Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator. Doing this, I began to have very good results. Using the Fw 190 with it's 4 20 mm cannons and two machine guns, combined with high speed diving attacks, I could devastate opponents. Hawker Hurricane's without a tail spinning helplessly to the ground were common. I was many times accused of cheating, but I wasn't. That would *dishonor* my Mom. After a year, out of 1.5 million registered, "pilots", from all over the world, I had clawed my way up to #7. I was on a mission, for my Mom, to try and be the best in the world in that game, in her honor. Then one evening I was in a combat room with my opponent, we had agreed to X number of kills and I was just about to hit the battle button when I took a second look at their screen name. It made me pause and I thought to myself, "Wait a minute. That name looks familiar to me somehow. Who is that?". Then it dawned on me; it was the F-15 fighter pilot again! To be sure, I confirmed it with them and they remembered me. I said that I'd learned a few things since our first match and I'd give them a better fight this time. They said okay and the battle was on. For me to ever reach #1, I *had* to defeat this real combat pilot. So I got the eye of the Tiger. The battle went on for close to an hour, with him shooting me down, me shooting him down, back and forth. His P-51 was a better handling plane than my Fw 190, but in a dive I had an advantage in speed and the massive firepower of the Fw 190 could inflict a world of hurt. As long as I could get a burst into his P-51, it would neutralize their handling advantage and then I had the edge, but I had to keep my guns on their P-51 and not let them get on my tail. I had to squeeze out every single bit of speed that Fw 190 had. Boom and zoom! "Moo ha haaaa!" :) Our planes were burning, smoking, riddled full of holes wrecks over and over. It was very close, but when the dust settled, I had won. To their credit, they congratulated me and said, "Well done. You have indeed learned a lot". I had sweat across my forehead and my heart was racing. A few weeks later, I reached #1 in the world. I set my joystick down and with tears welling up in my eyes I said, "That was for you Mom". I could not have achieved that just for myself. It was for my Mother. So in recounting this story, I encourage you to be the best you can be at anything in your life, in your Father's honor and it will always help you in coping with his passing. Rest assured I have prayed for you and will continue to. I know what you're going through. You are not alone my friend. We must exchange e-mail's sometime.:) All the Best, Whistling_Death_

Hi Noble! Thanks for the video. This is surely not the strongest plane in the game, but I still enjoy the flexibility. Due to the strong ground ordnance I still feel myself useful when nobody is willing to try capturing a zone. Mine is still not specialized, but I am working on this. I am in fact using Millie Elliot on this plane, to train her.

I'm not sure about that. Apart from being quick, my Vampire is more manoeuvrable and, for my preferred playing style, that means a lot. That said, I did find myself flinging the J 21RB around more than I expected I would.

With the plethora of very good fighter aircraft to choose from at tier VIII the J 21RB is definitely a poor sob story of a plane. 10 rockets is all well and good but then you are left with pitifully weak machine guns and only 1 cannon until the rockets reload (not good at all). Add to that poor maneuverability and you have at best a mediocre plane. You are way more hopeful about Wg than I am. I seriously doubt that Wg will do anything to decrease the bombers over-power at the top tiers. I'm not expecting anything from Wg, and thus they get nothing from me in the form of any purchases. Wg must know that we are fed up with the 3 super OP planes (Xp-54, B-29C, and EF-131) yet hasn't done anything to rebalance any of them. Also there are way too many trash planes that are in serious need of a buff (the mid-tier Yaks immediately come to mind) but yet Wg has not cared to even acknowledge that any rebalancing is needed. Instead they double down on "Extreme RNG" claiming that we (the serious long term players) want extreme battlefield conditions that lead to quick blowout battles when in truth it's just the opposite. We want player skills rewarded over random RNG luck in determining the outcome of all battles (especially in the mid and high tiers). Not extreme rng where "the team with the best bots wins" which is the case in far too many battles. Then if you want to have a serious discussion on the WoWp forum to address the problem all Wg does is delete your post and slap you with a forum ban. Wg wants us to pretend that this game is perfect. Definitely the result of dictatorship thinking that anything negative said about WoWp is prohibited (not good).

Unfortunately, you may right. I retain a hope that, with the disappearance of the former WoWP team, things may change this year. Realistically, given Victor Kislyi's stance regarding the game, the chances of that don't seem high. We also have to recognise that you and I are, probably, the kind of players, that is, experienced and having spent nearly if not all of the money we will ever spend in the game, that the WoWP team is not much interested in. They are interested in the newer players, whom they hope will buy certificates for new, strong or even overpowered aircraft. Balancing the current planes, especially the tech tree ones, seems to be a distant concern for the team. I still think there's a fair amount of fun to be had in the game. What's disappointing is that, with a little work, the game could be so much better; but there seems to be little incentive for the WoWP team to make the changes that would make it so. If we go through this year with more reward aircraft continuing to make tech tree aircraft increasingly redundant, we'll know where we stand.

@@HiTechOilCo I think it's worth remembering that, as far as I know, Mark plays on the EU server, where the game has been severely compromised by the willingness of the ex-CIS players to spam bombers relentlessly whilst, for the most part, being incompetent in anything else. This has resulted in playing sessions that are largely little fun compared to those on the benign, easy-to-play, NA server. There the game's flaws are not so noticeable.
