World of Warplanes - P-38L | First Impressions

I was able to earn the P-38L late last week and play it enough during Saturdays live stream that I feel very comfortable in it. Here's my opinion.

There is one more difference in the guns.....they fire a LOT FASTER....with the added range, this means that IF YOU CAN SHOOT, you are going to get MORE Damage Per Second.....Why, you ask? because there is a LOT more ammo to HIT WITH, so you get MORE hits which improves the Cumulative damage.....soooo more range, faster guns.....hummmm "Flying Heavy Machine Gun Platform" and without the rockets and bombs, it actually can be made to turn quite decently.....especially with the Pneumatic Assist....really fun stuff....great Vid Postal thanks man.....take care....OnWard......

My advice is to use your groud ordinance over fabric against two targets worth 50 points each. When you get them it's easier to kill two smaller ones with what left from rocket's and guns. I do it with Me110B and it works perfectly- yes l know it has only two bombs but powerfull ones with demo exper on side especially.

I've found I like her guns better than the 37mm, but only slighty. Considering ROF, they even out, so long as one stays on target. Also, fly her with Mary for some HEAVY ordinance impact!

@@PostalMonkey Hmm... I thought the G designated that it was a Garbage plane, same as the Bf 109G is crap compared to many other fighters at tier VII. At least that is how Wg has these planes coded.

I didn't have the opportunity to win this with the challenges, so I'll wait until it's eventually available in the premium shop. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

The P-38L has the potential to be a fun plane to fly, but it'll take time for me to get a well trained pilot. BTW, how do you get battles that have such inept blue and red team humans? At one point in the 2nd battle you were on low health over the mine and the red human had you dead if he turned back on you but instead chose to attack a different plane so you made him regret that decision by shooting him down (and rightfully so). In 99% of my battles I don't get any breaks like that. I have to lol on your 1st battle concerning when you chose to defend your military base as the other one by the pyramids was about 80% red and that it would take too much time to capture it. Then the next thing we see is that base flipping blue. That clearly shows just what extreme rng does and proves just how insanely bad the rng factor is in this game. Too many times I can be up 4 to 1 on sectors with a healthy lead looking like I was cruising on to the win and less than a minute later all the sectors are red (through no fault of me). I've watched Wot and WoWs videos where the insanity of the extreme rng in those games was super frustrating too so Wg is bad in all their games. I don't expect their move out of Belarus and Russia to change this (sigh!).
