The citadel Strike commander skill is still the better choice over deck protection. Improving your worst stat only leads to a subpar result, the fire Chace reduction is nice stil . The final damage added from citadels would be more a much more visible result.

I agree if you've got a captain specifically for Slava. I'm considering that Makarov gets a legendary skill on the deck protection mod, and that people would probably have him trained on e.g. Kremlin. The citadel strike skill would give you 7.5% more damage, let's assume she does about 4100 per cit, so that's about 300 extra. Which is good, but for a battle where I did 8 citadels would give me an extra total damage of 2400. The value is more in that it may kill ships a bit faster. I'd pick it for a Slava-exclusive captain as well.

I try to keep them separate, someone suggested to compress them into one, which I might try. Generally, I'm trying to review for what the majority can expect, and not everyone spends the money on premium consumables, camos and legendary captain gamble crates.

Slava is literally the Russian version of the Roma. The dispersion is very beautiful. Probably someone already said this but Slava looks like a bigger Stalingrad. I'll just wait for my chance to get it since I can't rn, but once I do, it shall be fun.

Slava's horizontal dispersion is 90-360, compared to Stalingrad's 114-300. So yes, she can be more accurate than Stalingrad even. I think it's a pretty valid comparison, since the role of back-row sniper is also the same.

Slava is 1, Stalin is 2. I'm pulling those values from the CIC site, can't verify them myself. Now, could Slava be more precise than Stalin? Depends a bit. Hd defines the width of the target ellipsis, sigma the distribution from the centre. So it's hard to tell - Stalin can't get down to 90, but still has generally tighter spread within that range. I guess the practical question is, what are you trying to hit. Slava is a BB sniper, it's often pointless to even try hitting manoeuvring cruisers at those ranges. She can also punch through deck plating with ease, whereas Stalin might have to target specific sections. In that regard, I'd say Slava is easier to play with her dispersion.

🚢 Are you going to be doing a review on Atlantico, the new tier 8 battleship available in the premium Blitz Pass? I'm curious if it makes the Blitz pass worth buying. It has by far the largest, most powerful, longest ranged secondary guns with a range of over 8kms. It's got 10 - 280mm main guns as well. It's armor stats are pretty good, so it looks as if it could be a "BBB"(Bismarck-beating brawler), but it's hard to say based on the limited number of review videos.

There isn't a single 280mm gun on the ship. It has British made 381mm mains and what appear to be also British made, think Cheshire-Albermarle 234mm secondaries with some autos. She is a pretty solid ship with ok armour but a very small health hit pool, so while she can brawl very successfully, it isn't wise to be getting into a fight with lots of concentrated fire as you will melt very quickly. If you are a BB main then she may be a good addition to your fleet, if you aren't then you will be just another wallet warrior that is easy to put down and you will have a bad impression of her. It comes down, as always, to your skill level and specialisation. Hope that helps.

I can't quite remember playing Florida... I'd say Slava is what you get when you combine the penetration and range Kremlin should have had with the precision and armour of Stalingrad :) Definitely long range. This ship doesn't survive taking point for long, and you've got the best dispersion of probably any T10 BB.

Just picked this ship up in the crate - a 2% drop chance was certainly a lot better than when it first came out, and 6750 gold wasn’t a bad price at all for this ship! For the lvl 12 commander skill, what would you pick if you had Kuznetsov? The 5% damage per shell reduction or citadel strike?

It's a numbers game. You can expect something like 5-8 citadels per game, so you can calculate how extra damage you would make. If you're struggling with survivability, the other choice could be better for you.

Finally got her. Now remember here, I have 1018 battles in my Stalingrad as of this morning lol, so I'm good at the play style. My very first game in her I got 9 citadel's and 148,000 damage. I have Makarov fully leveled up and by God she's scary.

The dispersion is really beautiful, awesome video! Would you say she is in some what comparable to the incomparable? That's also a citadel spammer, less guns, obviously not really a battleship, but also a kinda strong ship, maybe even stronger?

Incomparable is stronger imo, especially with APCS. The extra 100mm shell calibre means her citadels really, really hurt, and I wouldn't be afraid to play her more aggressively than Slava. Slava is a bit of a one-trick pony, kind of like a super Stalingrad. Very good at that one trick, but not a multirole ship.

I have Slava too, same as Terry I played her at range. When it comes to 1v1 with an incom, I think as a Slava player your trick to win the engagement would be to use your throttle n rudder to let the incom shells either hit the belt armour(which is actually strong) or just try to let them miss the target. This trick better at range ofc, but still usable at 7-10km. So fighting incom doesn't really worry me a whole lot:))

My best match with Slava was 187k dmg, with 114 main battery hits, 8 modules damage. I was lucky enough to hit 14 citadels, but unlucky enough to not get a single citadel crisis 😂😂 but I just love mauling other bbs with her

I saw noobs with this thing. They just don't get that they can stay far away and they try to brawl my Yamato even getting in the auto secondary range. Well I can't complain though it was free citadel and damage farm, completing that daily mission.

I did that in my very first game. After seeing Vermont shaving half my HP off in one salvo, I had a closer look at the armour 🤣 It's quite tricky, since Kremlin is a mid-range tank, and this thing has visually the same hull - just not the same armour

Thats because the system implement tiered gamble stages within the commander gamble box. First you have to gamble for a chance to get A legendary commander, then if you succeeded at that then the system put you once more into next gamble tiers to get specific commander that you want. The more legendary commanders are in 1 box, the more difficult it will be to get the one that you want, unless the one that you want is the oldest legendary commander. Newer ones will be assigned abyssmal drop chances.

It's really quite insidious, isn't it? I didn't have Makarov on press, so I ended up crating him, took about 80k gold, and I probably got Kuznetsov 3 or 4 times as well, which is curious given the listed probabilities

@@FunandGameswithTerry I discovered that evil scheme long ago before this crook company were forced by app stores to actually put out in display the percentage of drop chances for all of their gamble items. 😅 At that time the us commander gamble box had only 2 legendary commanders. Kincaid as we know it, is the 1st us captain available (I bought him directly from the shop for straight money when he was 1st available, not in a gamble box), the next one was Halsey, the newer ones. I want that Halsey badly for my des moines and somers. I poured 14000 gold into that gamble box trying to get halsey. I got 4 thomas kincaid which was of course, since I have already bought him in the first place; useless extra copies (+2000 captain xp each to my existing kincaid). Halsey I did not manage to get at all. I suspected that there was a hidden tiered gamble stages within that gamble box because of that incidence. That was long before the drop chance to get each commanders were finally put on display. Never gamble for captain gamble boxes which have more than 1 legendary captains inside unless the one that you want is the earliest released one! Buy with straight money/gold whenever the ones that you want appears in ship bundles, or from that stingy black market events, or, as extremely rare occurence these days; sold directly like Halsey, kincaid, hipper, and beatty were once. You want newer commanders, DO NOT open captain gamble boxes that have more than 1 legendary captains inside.

I got Kincaid, von Hipper and one of the British ones way back when they were on sale for 8AU$, which I found extremely reasonable. I've had the occasional success with single-captain gamble crates, but I was quite surprised when Í noticed the mechanics trying to get Makarov the other day. I wonder if it works the same way with multi-ship crates.

That's why I also avoid any multi-ship gamble boxes like they are piles of hot guanos! 😅 I am not a stingy person, and my job and life circumstances allow me to set a monthly budget with quite a generous threshold for my own entertainment. But I impose upon myself a rigorous discipline on things that I deemed worthy spending that budget on, even if it is for a mere entertainment. I do not open multi ships/multi tanks gamble boxes, and each time I calculate first the worth of each item in the gamble box in terms of gold to decide whether any gamble box is worth opening or no. If they worth at least the same cost for me to open 1 gamble box and they are useful for the development of my account, I will open if I want the main price. If not, I always pass and wait until they are offered in a single ship box, sonar roulettes, or for straight gold/money in the shop; the last is of course most preferred.
