I've somehow missed reviewing this ship when she came out. Maybe I was thinking, meh, it's just a T10 Alsace? But she's been requested quite a bit, so it's time to finally correct that.

Alsace doesn't have a rapid reload back then but now it does, it really made a big difference and my grind manage to become more effective.

I was actually surprised as well, I remembered Alsace not having that. The difference between the two isn't that large, and if she plays even remotely close to this, that might be a T9 I'll actually keep

The Generalist skill is an awesome anti CV attack tool, after DB hit you and start fires you can damage con early if TB bombers are farther behind in attack, this saves you from taking fire damage while TB planes attack , while simultaneously buffing against flooding chances from TB attack , I still recommend damage conning floods , but it's nice to know you can save HP in a clutch

Yep, it's one of those overlooked skills, especially when it comes to throwing off CVs. Should stack with the premium damacon as well.

My most favorite battlecruiser to go into any t10-t9 games, ever. Have 2.2mil xp accumulated on her.

That ship, that ship its a beast. The armor is weak, but her weapons and his reload cosumable are op.

The damage output at point blank is absolutely frightening. And all this isn't even with APCS. But she can melt some of the weaker BBs as if they were light cruisers.

Dang, upper tier French BB's be doing this types of things. I've faced some of these ships but the players playing them weren't playing them right but the ones that did shredded me like Terry shredded that Iowa. Once I see it out in a bundle or crate, I will buy it. May have no armor, but I love doing those types of things.

Honestly, I'll have to try the Alsace. The difference isn't that large, and it's free.

Thanks for making videos for her😊 Luckily I got her from the WG23 crates, she’s pretty amazing in most scenarios. One thing to remember while playing her is that you only tank while you have the RR skill in your hand, otherwise you’d better keep a distance of no less than 14km away from enemy BBs.😂 BTW have a wonderful holiday Terry! 🎉

As a French BB main, she's definitely not an "ambush predator". One should play her like she's an oversized battlecruisers. Meaning French BB's are best at "shoot and scoot"; shooting while moving around the flanks while avoiding head-on battles (unlike the Germans).

French AP shells are pretty punchy. 1% fire chance is pretty much standard for auto secondaries in all lines.

Yep, French AP rocks. Quite fond of it myself. Dispersion is dreadful, but they're fast and hit hard.

I've had games where I was recognised, and getting focused down in the first 2 minutes by Yamas, Vermonts and CCs shuts this ship up very quickly. But if you're allowed to roam, oh boy.

Terry, at 5:30 you said the Bourgogne is an ambush predator. Then please, PLEASE, slap the concealment mod onto her, you'll need that to be extra stealthy.

Honestly, with an 11.7km base detection, it's not going to do an awful lot. You're still going to be spotted by air, every destroyer and cruiser is going to outspot you - there's little chance of getting around without being detected. I prefer mobility over stealth. On something like Incomparable, different story maybe, but I usually don't consider it if the base detection is significantly over 10km.

Too many players use that mod and it should be taken out of the game because it’s more of a cheat mod then anything else I’ve had dds within spitting distance shoots invisible torpedos at me from a stone throw away

Bourgone kinda feels like a lazy attempt to make an improved French BB by adding an another quad turret to a Richaleu by the French engineers. But it makes the ships helluva more attractive to me thou 😂

The French didn't really have the resources to design another calibre in time - they already had the lower calibres from the older BBs to maintain, and I think they were considering 406, but didn't get around to it. Designing a turret isn't a small feat, so often navies just went with what they had ready.

Jean Bart in blitz is a total joke at t9 its worse than t8 Richie...the dispersion on the Jean bart desperately needs a buff

I wasn't too impressed with Jean Bart when I tested her - Richie dispersion isn't great either, but T9 matchmaking is a completely different beast.
