I'm confused Jingles. In that 400k Hindenburg replay you kept talking about how he didn't shoot the Kleber that was moving at full speed 14km away. However, in this replay Z had the perfect opportunity to shoot the Grozovoi that was stationary in the cap 8km away and you didn't mention it once. In this instance shooting the Grozovoi may very well have won him the game but he fired on a Yamato 14km away instead.

It's still super early into the game to call a loss like that, shoot the Grozovoi and the Yammy is able to turn in/out and is impossible to damage. Or shoot the Yamato and try to take it out as fast as possible

@@petergreenson oh I agree, I think Z still played very well and any reasonable person would expect to win easily with a result like that. My point was that in the Hindenburg replay the player also did more damage than any one ship should have to do but Jingles spent quite a while saying that he should've shot a full speed Kleber (which everyone knows is very tricky), instead he secured kills on battleships. It caused quite a stir in the comments with people arguing. The same thing happened in this replay, and I would argue the DD was far easier to damage and Jingles didn't mention it once.

@@MrRedRye fully agree with you. Even one or two hits would also reset the countdown and prevent that DD from caping Bravo. Not many mistakes he did, but this was definitely one of them. Target selection is sometimes crucial. Hitting few salvos on that Grozovoi before he dissapearing could have helped A LOT. But everyone is a general after the battle

Most players have a less than 50% winrate and have probably never done more than 150k in a tier 10 ship yet have the gall to say it was a poor performance.

to be fair had Z shot the grozovoi when it was capping B instead of trying to farm damage on the Yamato they wouldn't have had the groz to hide/cap at the end. I know it's not a popular opinion to say the guy with 400k damage threw... but... he did lose and he had an opportunity to NOT lose. I do agree the shim also threw, but you can't blame it ALL on only the shim.

He didn't activate it because he had Adrenaline Rush. The lower health he has, the faster the reload time on his guns. You can see after he takes that first big hit his reload drops down from 3.1 seconds to 2.9 seconds. So he was focusing on dealing damage/farming. Which Adrenaline rush in the Mino is a good option.

It's a strategy to maximize Adrenaline Rush. Healing damage reduces your reload speed when you have AR.

13:20 is where he threw. The Grozovoi is RIGHT there and he decided to shoot the Yamato instead. The same Grozovoi that then flipped Bravo, flipped Alpha, and went on to run the timer down and won the game for the enemy team. Not killing that destroyer when he could have was a huge misplay.

@@grandadmiralraeder9608 I'm mostly going on the fact that the first time I watched this (before I knew how things would play out), I started wondering out loud to myself why he wasn't shooting the Grozovoi and stopping him from flipping the cap, or even moving forward to contest the flip until after the Groz had already capped. I mean it's true the Yamato *could* have ended up carrying his team, but it's generally accepted wisdom that if you get the opportunity to kill an enemy destroyer, you take it. Because they'll do stuff like... well flip your caps, get their team way ahead on points, and then run down the clock and win.

The rest of us actually need to learn things like angling and aiming, and even though it's mostly not needed for cv gameplay, it does help.

Didn't used to be that way. It wasn't until the advent of U-boats that ships could be destroyed without seeing their attacker, but even then there was a chance the U-boat could be spotted and attacked (or attacked without being spotted if you were lucky). If I remember right, the battle of Midway was the first naval battle where ships on both sides did not make any visual contact with all the attacks being done by aircraft.

And, well, Alaska eats Minotaurs for breakfast. Also, somehow the Kurry that got rammed by the Bisko came second on the team.

WG should introduce some new game modes. Matches with BB/CA/CL/DD only, CV/BB/CA/CL/DD, SS/BB/CA/CL/DD, CV/SS/BB/CA/CL/DD and give us a 1 vs. 1 mode as well. I would love to see random night time settings on all of the maps (CHARTS) also; like the old Cherry Blossom scenario. (Bring that back please). As long as we're at it, make battles unlimited too! Eliminate the time constraints. If anything, the game clock causes more frustration than anything. I've lost count how many kills that damn clock has robbed me of. The progression of the cap points is enough of a curb to time over-runs. One more thing that irks me to no end: MM needs to make the number of radar ships on each team even. Ok. Done dreaming now. Just yesterday in one match, half my team decided it was a good idea to abandon our right flank, except for one 56% WR player who tried to hold and who furiously pinged everybody to get back. Of course he got sunk before I could help and we lost.

Couple of comments for this replay. For those wondering why Zed didn't pop his heal the moment he took the first damaging hits, it's more than likely he has Adrenaline Rush, a perk that increases your gun's reload speed the lower your hp is. It's a common "risk vs reward" gameplay where players intentionally keep the health low to have increased firepower. A lot of players use this tactic, provided you're more cautious with your health afterwards. That said, I'm not particularly fond with how Zed wasn't shooting at the enemy Grozovoi, at the very least to reset the cap. I remember in the "Damage Isn't Everything" video that Jingles made a rather big deal on how the protagonist didn't shoot the DD, which became a factor of him losing the game. I would say this is exactly the same case. The protagonist had the option to shoot an exposed Grozovoi (who wasn't moving that fast) and at least land a couple of hits to reset the cap, but chose to shoot at a Yamato at extreme range. This caused cap B to be flipped, becoming a factor to Zed losing. And it seems that in this case, Jingles didn't point that out this time. Now as Jingles said in the other video, it is wrong of me to just judge the protag for a mistake that he did. It's easy to look at the game after it has happened and start criticising. It's more likely that Zed was overwhelmed with info with what's going on around him, and in the heat of the battle, did not realize the DD in front of him. It happens to all of us. I'm just a little confused why Jingles didn't point it out this time when in the previous video, it's his main topic. No pointing fingers tho, still enjoyed the video nonetheless, and well played Zed on an astronomical game. I can only dream of even achieving such results.

With respect to people in this comment section, some of y'all are as ignorant as usual. "Reee all he did was hold left click on BB's... he never capped or killed any DD's" I don't see what you mean. 6:30 executes Shimakaze in the central Capture Zone. 8:28 was just a hair too late to stopping the Anchorage from capping the zone. At least kills the Cruiser. 11:00 executes another DD btw. 12:30 executes the biggest Radar threat... who was contesting the Capture Zone his team had control of. 12:33 the only real mistake here is not resetting the Grozovoi on this cap. He wouldn't have had time to kill him, but at least stall the cap. Dealing significant damage to the Yamato here was equally crucial, since he never would've had an opportunity to do it once the Iowa sank and the Yamato turns in. Lose/Lose situation. No matter which target he chose this moment, the win at the end was unlikely. 14:30 he's reversing away from the Cap here because there were already teammates in the zone to capture it, so he was maintaining an optimal angle to deal damage to Yamato. 16:18 you can't sit in the Cap broadside or bow-in while in a Minotaur this close to a Missouri. He will Radar you. He will dev-strike you through the mouth. This is Minotaur 101. 18:20 captures B btw. 18:35 of course he's left-clicking at a BB here. It's a full health Tier 9 Battleship who can just walk into this cap and kill both him and the Baltimore with absolute ease if he ignored him. There was no point in heading back to C to defend it from the Grozovoi because A) he never would've spotted him without the Shima and B) If he did, Iowa and Atago kill Baltimore and Shima and the game ends anyways. It blows my mind that people are in here smack-talking Minotaur player for not being a team-player here. 405k damage is enough teamwork as it is, considering that's comparable to almost the ENTIRE ENEMY TEAM'S HEALTHPOOL AT THE START OF THE GAME BTW. If anything, I'd say MOST of the blame for this loss falls on that incredibly oblivious Shimakaze.

Another part is Z is part of O7, dude plays for the best clan in the NA server for a reason... the decisions he made on Groz and yammy I agree with you, it was either stall the cap and maybe kill the DD or get rid of the battleship that can murder the remaining cruisers... idk how people are saying that he wasn’t prioritizing the win, if anything 400k dmg is prioritizing the win more than everyone else
