I'm not sure the Queen's Rage operation will be around when we get close to the end of this dockyard. Hoping Asymmetric will still be around. It's pretty shitty that they'll allow 100% of damage, ribbons, etc from the Star Trek event, but not from regular operations.

Just FYI. Star Trek event ends Dec. 11th. So you can only use that mode for the first 2 weeks of the dockyard. Also you kind of glossed over the 99,000 Base XP grind mission in the last chain of the dockyard. Even if you average around 1500 Base XP per game that still around 66 games to complete the mission. That's a lot of games for those who have a "real life" outside this game.

This is big. I may be wrong but the largest base XP in Dockyard before that I remember was 45 or 50k. And that took a while. Also, 4M damage in each class is a steep figure too.

Usually you have 2 weeks to complete the last set of missions, if it's the same as before its about 7072 bae XP per day.

@grandmoffrex I was referencing the fact that the destroyer Khabarovsky had a super long range (for the time) back in 2018 or so. Nowadays, I believe you can extend Kléber's range to something over 17km. About that Lesta DD, I had no idea. Damn! 21km is indeed super long range.

I have the Karl Johan and I do like how it plays. I like the fact that it has secondaries and hydro. It already has a 21 point captain with a secondary build. if I were to get the Niod, I would need to build up a main battery captain for it. I was on the fence about getting the Niord, after watching your video SeaLord, I´ve decided to skip it. If WG brings out a European BB tech tree line later on, I hope it´s more like the Johan and not the Niord.

I too have the Karl, with a main battery / torpedo hybrid build. It works very well, but getting Niord will allow me to shift Karl to a secondary build. I am looking forward to it. The thought of Bismarck guns made me chuckle. Niord is exclusively a torpedo large cruiser playstyle is my thought.

This is a pass for me. It isn't better than the Karl Johan that I already have. And from what I'm hearing the final stage will require you to get 99,000 BXP to get the last token. You'll have 2 weeks to do this. So if you can't farm 50k BXP in a week you're going to have to buy more stages.

Star Trek will be long gone, which makes his idea that the credits mission will be easy misleading. Asymmetrical will be live through the end, but that won’t help as much with Base XP or credits.

For me, with that reload…this is 100% a main battery reload/accuracy build. 1.9 sigma is decent, but that dispersion buff needs to help out. Maybe try it with an alt build and see if you find that more enjoyable.

This strikes me as a ship that as the game goes longer and engagements get closer with less cross fire it will get stronger and stronger. As the range decreases, the AP and torps gain more value. Johan can brawl with secondaries, where this brawls with heavier guns and torps. Time will tell I suppose. All the goodies witht he event still make it "worth" it. Now can we get a DD dockyard next please.

Agreed! Just for reference, in the previous dockyard (Almirate Oquendo) the toughest base xp mission was 60k. So this one is quite a raise on that! Not convinced the 30M credit mission is going to be that easy either. Admittedly you can use boosters, but Asymmetrics will have finished by that stage, so no easy option there.

And boosters won't help with bxp. You will need to average 2k bxp per game to complete it in 49.5 matches. If you average 15 minutes per match, that's over 12 hours of game time. For mediocre players like me, those numbers are going to be even higher.

Begging to disagree: A 110 second torpedo reload on a 5 torpedo launcher at tier 9 is NOT slow, actually it's right in the ball park for ships without a torpedo reload booster. Of course, Mountbatten is a BB main and doesn't play DDs all that much, so his opinion is understandable.
