I’ve enjoy playing this ship. She has one more 105mm turret per side vs Bismarck and Tirpitz, so her secondary guns do slightly even better than those ships against lightly armored ships. But I agree with you completely about the smaller health pool. That made no sense to me and has caused me to lose a few engagements I would have won if I had 10k more hp. I just play her like a cruiser killer and she is quite happy

The new meta where both teams stand-off at max range for the entire match has really gotten annoying. There are a lot of good, close-range ships that have been made irrelevant as a result. I think that they need to add a new random match mode that will force the ships closer together as the match progresses.

I agree, the higher the tier you go the worse it gets. I find T9-T11 quite boring most of the time. I am medically retired and am issued Rx pain medication. When i take the medication with a coffee chaser is about the only way T9-T11 games are tolerable.

Talking about how the game has been over the past few years.....I had 3 rounds in a row last night where there was NO cvs and NO subs and it was glorious. the game was so much fun to play. it was like old 2015 WoWs kind of. Just amazing how 2 classes can absolutely kill the fun of the game.

When you have just ships its the balance of rock/paper/scissors. Bring subs and CVs and like adding nuclear weapons to the mix.

I don't mind the Brandenburg, I think the Admiral Schroder is a worse premium ship; costs more, lacks many of the same things (no hydro, also no torps) and was frankly a lie by WG about being a secondary ship.

I agree, and would like to add that the Zieten is just as good, if not better than the Bismarck for operations. Zeiten has superfiring turrets and a couple more secondaries per side, plus 12km torps.

This was the first Premium I picked up when i started playing and in all honesty she's a really good ship, she handles great and one of the few ships that I constantly get citadels with and with a secondary build your knocking out ships that you don't even see.

This ship is perfectly fine. It can be played without secondaries and uptiers very well: use its concealment, combine AP and HE and you will be absolutely fine against Tier 10 ships. Also it has pretty good AA. Not the best Tier 8 BB but definitely not pointless.

There is a simple buff for all these ships that don’t perform to well at times. But wg is to stubborn to listen too it’s players!!!! Simple fix is just MAKE MM PLUS ONE MINUS ONE!!!! That will make the game so much more fun!!!!! And to all who say there isn’t enough players to do this wg can make smaller teams to play rounds. They do it now so who cares if it’s more often and fun when it happens!!!

I agree, Even starting to feel the power creep now with Jean Bart, Almost useless against these superships which are basically T11 that have twice the HP and bigger guns. 1 tier up or down is fine for most ships at all tiers, Would be way better for the entire player base.

Wows blitz for phone has that MM and their playerbase is smaller. It's just an excuse like always. Poor Irian had a great tike getting dunked on by TXs like normal. It's why I'm happy superships are terrorizing them.

Bradenburg is a console ship, there the secondaries can go to 12km, bradenburg cant go against yamato and tier 10 ships and we have enhanced secondaries battery consumable that give +100% better dispersion, +50% better shell grouping and +50% better accuracy to secondaries, +will to rebuild(when you are bellow 10% ho if you have a friendly ship nearby you regen health), and cvs are nerfed to hell on console AND no subs.

I think I disagree Sealord. I love Brandenburg, got her in the German containers and regularly get 150k+ damage matches. A few months ago I sent in a replay with Kracken 2500k base exp game in her in which I was able to out brawl an Tirpitz.

I like Brandenburg quite a bit. I think it's a solid trainer for brawling BB's because it is more punishing of mistakes. It forces you to use the map, situational awareness and timing. Only thing is really dislike is the lack of hydro. But I still routinely have good games with her, even when double uptiered. I wouldn't put her on the same level as, say, Massachusetts...but I've also killed several Massachusetts in the Brandenburg.

I own a Brandenburg and I like her more than tirpitz. 12 gun dispersion is nicer than 8 gun. She's a tirpitz ship with Odin turrets and 1 more secondary. Yea her HP is smaller, but I hate how tirpitz bent barrels leave me so frustrated. 4 guns missing is more common than 6 guns.

I think Brandenburg only exists to add more value to Odin by virtue of filling in two ship stopgaps instead of 1. (The other ship you can skip out on if you have the Odin is Scharnhorst, arguably speaking.)

Mecklenburg used the same guns and seems to follow a similar pathway like the Brandenburg. We have a 16 12" gun version of the Preussen. Mecklenburg has thinner armor, less HP, and no hydro. None of the premium German BBs have hydro except Prommern.

this was the first premium ive ever got. got it out of a chest. that being said im a pretty average player with a 51% wr and this is my most played ship. im keeping it at a steady 59% wr. idk what it is but i just really click with this ship and just love playing it. my only complaint is the small caliber guns for a tier 8.

The Azuma is also pretty pointless because it is literally worse than the Yoshino in every single way. You have less HP, less armor plating, lower RoF, worse secondary/ AA, no torpedo, less firing lange, less HP, same speed, same turning circle, same rudder shift time etc etc. There is not a single thing that the Azuma has that give you a reason to pick this ship over the Yoshino execpt for the fact that it is tier 9 (so you can struggle in tier 11 game...) For example the Ibuki at least still has something that it is better than the Zao despite it is one tier lower, like slightly better firing range, superior manueveability, 32 mm deck etc, it is not entirely worse than the tier 10 counterpart like the Azuma.

My big pain with this ship is the torpedo tubes, made of thin glass ! Fraking ship will lose the torpedo tubes every and each shot, is so fraking frustrating... the devs make a stupid model with her, the crappy work on her is a disaster. I not even comment about the HP pool, but the torpedo tubes getting popped always is the really stupid design. No other ship I sail, ship with torpedo, do not suffer so bad from this dumb mechanic. I really hope the drunk idiot who designed this ship will get fired one day.

If it's T9 then yep, No real point anymore for any of them, Uptiered against superships has made T9 horrible, Only ship that still has a chance is the tank Musashi with big enough guns and HP pool to take them on.

Been thinking so meta is stay as far away as possible from eachother right? How they can fix this is very simple, just make damage amplifiers closer you are to the target, and give optimal range then as you get further away you suffer damage loss if youa re to far, think of it like closer youa re the more velocity your shell has, further out the shell is slowing down due to friction :D unless Though this would favor Carriers a lot as they are alway son the edge of the map.. but I think this would bring back more brawls instead of staying at the edges firing while trying to run away.

Hey, Sealord ! I really would appreciate, if you could do a little more research on the ships, before you pump out your advices. The armor scheme is NOT a copy of the Bismarcks. You give Odin credit for being tanky and completely miss, that the Brandenburg actually has one of the best frontal armors of any ship in the game being comparable to a Pommern and just a little behind a Preussen...and also: why don't you mention it's other asset: speed ? Don't get me wrong...I'm not a big fan of the Brandenburg, but if you want to give folks a decent hint whether to buy it or not, you completely missed the mark...

I like the Brandenburg for Ops. Good reload, big enough main battery with 12 guns, solid armor, great secondaries, etc. There's a lot to like for Ops. For PVP, though I see what you're saying, it's just not good for the current meta.

The elephant in the room is the Scharnhorst. The Scharnhorst is a BB with small caliber guns for its tier. It has the same HP as a ship of its tier and the 283s it’s armed with are accurate and can actually manage to damage whatever it hits. The problem with this ship and the oden are they have too little HP, their armor is useless (I personally see Oden’s armor as lack luster), the firing angles are terrible, the secondary guns are okay but ever since the commander rework they suck (don’t know why WG is so afraid of letting ships have good secondary performance.), and then there’s the guns. The German 12 and 14 inch guns are just abysmal and by far the worst BB caliber guns in game out side of the Mikasa’s 305s. They can’t pen anything and when they do it’s a zero damage pen plus they have shotgun accuracy topped off with terrible pen angles. Why WG didn’t just arm the Oden, Brandenburg, and Agir with 283s and give them the same specs as the Scharnhorst’s guns is beyond me. A Scharnhorst with more HP, the refit hull, and better secondary range and accuracy at a higher tier would be fun but these ships have all felt like dollar general brand Scharnhorsts.

The 283s on the Scharnhorst are accurate? That has not been my experience playing it. The Scharn and Gneisenau have the most frustrating guns I can think of offhand. Even at under 10km they put lots of shells in the water

@@rocketfishx3474 I guess they’re accurate by German standards. Seeing as I mostly play German and French battlefields. That’s probably why I see them as such. I seem to get decent consistency out of them unless I shoot at something angled then the shots do act wonky.

honestly - any secondary focused ship is pointless in this game, and i am saying that being CLOSED BETA TESTER for wows. Even Agincourt is as tier 5 secondary monster useless. Mostly two reasons: 1 meta is just to snipe, even in "medium tiers" 2 is you want to build your ship for secondaries you need to spend too much captain points on that - of course not using them for more important stuff. Soo no, this is not a problem with THIS ship - this is a problem with any secondary focused ship.
