Hello once again everyone, as promised I can finally complete the series on the British destroyer line from tier 5 up to tier 10 with the Premium tier 6 destroyer HMS Gallant. It's a plucky little ship that performs incredibly well even under difficult circumstances and quite a bit of fun to play with. I hope you all enjoy the video and let me know what you think in the comments

Great video as always, Gallant definitely looks to be an easier boat to use than Icarus was. I just finished up the Jervis grind and it was probably the most fun I've had grinding a ship since my Benson grind (my favorite DD).

Thanks again Ham&Cheese, If you really enjoyed the Jervis I think you will absolutely love the Lightning. Personally it's one of my favourite destroyers in the game.

Hi Carbine Wonderful video as always! Is this DD worth investing in for my progress up to T10?

Hi Keith, you have a choice of Premiums on the British DD line between the Gallant and Cossack. Both are very good ships but personally I would give my vote to the Cossack. I had the good fortune of being able to pick up both from previous events. Watch the Cossack video and decide yourself which one suits your playstyle best.

To quote Darth Vader: "Impressive. Most impressive." I drive mine with my general-purpose 19 point British captain - PT, LS, EM, SI, SE, CE, RPF - as I don't yet have a high-enough-point dedicated DD 19 pointer for your build. Have you ever experimented with Torpedo Armament Expertise for a quicker reload on the torps, or do you find BFT the better deal for gunnery against other ships where this becomes necessary? I recently re-specced my British DD captain (10 points) from TAE to BFT because she moved to the Jervis, where the guns seriously start to dominate for the first time, but I may yet consider taking TAE down the road in order to keep both aspects of the ship's armament as rapid-loading as possible. Might try her out in the Gallant this weekend, seeing as we have a fire-starting mission to do anyway.

Hi Jsm, thank you and in answer to your question I just find BFT better on all of the British destroyers just for the pure DPM increase. Combine the increased DPM and Gallant's great high explosive fire chance allows you to exert even more pressure with your guns throughout the game, being able to win these close range gunfights and removing the enemy destroyers will allow you to get better returns from Gallant's torpedo armament later in games.

@@CarbineCarlito OK, I will try the Jervis captain in the Gallant next chance I get and see what happens.

Nice video. May i ask why you use DCS mod 1 instead of Propulsion mod 1 in upgrade slot 2? Is it to prevent fires from other dd's and cruisers? I currently have prop mod 1 in order to keep my engines going and then use premium damage control party to put out any fires if i get one. Maybe i'm using this ship in the wrong way.

Hi MilanMessina, the British DD line already gets increased propulsion speed as standard, it's one of the features of the British lines. I like the DCS 1 mod because I get involved in a lot of DD gunfights and to have that reduced fire chance can be really nice in such situations.

Thanks for the review, I find it helpful. Do you believe if you copy/paste directly from the Warships Wiki in your description that you could consider citing them as the source?

Hi Syzygy, I've used numerous sources to get the most up to date information on whatever ship I'm covering. Sometimes warships wiki is not up to date but yes I can include sources in the future.
