I wish America would guard their real estate for citizens over foreign investors. Norway is doing it right, sorry its harder for you as a permanent resident, but the housing market can very quickly become unattainable for your own citizens if you do not have controls. Wish you all the best, sounds like you are working through it.

Yes, America is definitely to loose in not guarding its own real estate with foreign investors. A lot of countries actually have more safe guards for this vs. America. It is easier now as a permanent resident vs. skilled workers visa I had back in the summer. The housing market in Norway is already very difficult in the larger cities vs. the more rural areas. At least the government is working to make it easier here now for people to buy homes starting in 2025, so that is nice. Appreciate it and Merry Christmas o7 Best Regards, FLT
