It plays like a light cruiser with 20-inch guns. I love out-spotting other cruisers and blatting them out of nowhere. I go for reload over range, which probably isn't as competitive but having long range makes the ship boring like everything else. Excessively-long range BBs are why high tier games are so campy. Reduce their range and fun gameplay can occur.

SLM....... The RN Battlecruisers design was not flawed at Jutland. What caused the problem was poor handling of shell propellants which were stored outside magazines and turrets to increase rate of fire as the shooting accuracy was that poor quantity of shell fired was needed to alleviate poor accuracy issues.

She isn't that high so with a well tuned powerplant and a captain who doesnt demands highest possible speed and which instead wants a speed which gives an effective combustion. Her layout is more like a WW2 fast battleship. The game is broken already with regards to visibility and information access, you shouldnt be able to instantly when someone else on your team gets info about the enemy (position and type of ship) get access to that info.

Doubting what steel ship to get, people say bourgone is good but I am honestly craving a fun ship over a competitive ship, game is growing stale with long range bbs

It's like this: if you want a ship that's a consistent performer, go with Bourgone, or Stalingrad, or pretty much anything else. But if you want a ship that's stoopid and highly entertaining, Incomparable is the one. 2 out of 3 randoms, you'll get blapped in the side, or burnt down by spam or otherwise not achieve much. But 1 game out of 3 you will absolutely wreck face. Tips: do not show broadside at all, you will get citadelled horribly. Slow shells make hiding behind islands and spanking targets beyond very valid. In open water, angling steeply away is best, firing arcs on the front turrets make it easy to give full salvos rearwards and the acceleration makes dodging with speed changes work well. I recommend Brisk on the commander, to build into the speed. With that and the boost running she hits 39.6kts without speed flag. Oh, and be careful of torpedoes, her torpedo protection is very weak.

SLM is more or less on the money here, Incomparable is hilarious. However, the armour is not as good as he makes out, pretty paper thin. Any BB will blap her severely unless heavily angled, torp protection is non existent and HE spam does horrible things to her. AA isn't all that good really. And she gets spotted from the air at over 9km, CV spotting can really ruin your day. All that said though, I still love her.

I was thinking about the Marceau that 99% of people recommend. It's best to watch Potato Quality and MalteseKnight Marceau gameplay and see if that's something you'd like. Personally, I think I would HATE the shell arcs and trying to hit moving targets.

You're kinda not wrong. She's very situational. She can't really fight other BBs due to paper armour and gets wrecked by HE spam or torps. However, SLM is also not wrong, she's also kinda hilarious if you play her right.

I have Jean Bart and Republique though, so that's turning me away from the Bourg, and looking for a more unique experience like the Ragnar or Incomparable. I also have Alaska and Petro, so that's turning me away from Stalingrad with it being somewhat similar. I just really want this steel purchase to be worth it and it's stressing me out lol.

As a CV player and this being my first steel ship (coming up), I've been "Jonesing" for the FDR. I know it's been Nurffed to death, but I've wanted it ever since I first loaded the game and not being a daily warrior (I have a job), it's taken me over 4 years to get enough steel. It was much easier and quicker for me to get the Eagle, Haku and Nem then the FDR and the FDR is rated lowest in this list. Go figure... Player: Why is this Wargaming? Wargaming: "Reasons!"

FDR is not worth the steel. I have one and I can't seem to make it work. Gigantic squadrons which drop lots of VERY slow torps than even a tortoise can dodge and have a cool down of an eternity in order to make 2nd. Strike while being pounded by AA. For firing rockets you have to make an appointment in advance with the enemy ship in order to get a hit. Bombers are quite OK but the cool downs are in the realms of biblical days. Get the Midway instead.

the range mod actually makes the dispersion look bad so i fit that mod only short range crusiers and destroyers those already have laser accuracy so they don't give a damn but in a battleship ( even it is battle crusier you have to pray battleship rng cuz it is marked as battleship in game ) the spotter plane is your best friend cuz it is not increasing the dispersion and i rarely see my fighter planes do something so i stopped using them

WoW NEXT new ship class for 2023, class 12, a destroyer that goes 85knot, broadside 99 torpedoes reload in 1 second, and 15 20" gun fires at 50km and reload rate of 0.5second. New battleship with 1million hp, max speed 150 knots, with 50 90" guns that fire 150km and reload every 2second. than for 2024, new class 13 with light speed destroyer, and battleship that can fly and fires laser.

I don't think meme ships like this belong in the game. Superheals are completely busted, fragile armor sure balances it, but then you have implemented two absolute god damn memes into a single ship. Similarly with everything and everyone getting torpedos these days and to make up for it just six guns with absolute garbo dispersion (Zieten, looking at you).

Hey slmb, broadly excellent vid, though I take issue with one bit in particular... Good AA had me on the floor lol. If the measure of good AA is can shoot a plane down before the rest of the squad hits you, sure. But I'd say thats functionally irrelevant. It cant defend itself from a kaga, let alone anything T10, regardless of how flimsy the planes are. I'd be VERY hesitant to describe the AA as good when the ship is an hp pinata of the highest order for a CV, not to mention their ability to safely ruin your day via spotting at 10km/20km when firing.

Hilarious : drop 20 pods with 10 space marines in each on a formation of eldar/chaos etc.... instant close combat meleee with space marines in terminator armour.....

We played at lunchtimes at school, no time for army lists just put minis on a table and go for it. One players opinion: If you do ranked / clan battles and are looking for a useful BB, go Incomparable. If you do mostly randoms and wish the Marlborough had some armor on it, go Mecklenberg.

@@rgsmith1966 I'd recommend Mecklenburg over Incomparable *especially* for ranked. Ranked is much more brawling-focused than randoms. Mecklenburg has more HP, a turtleback, and great secondary armament. The lower AP pen, which is the only real downside to the 305mm caliber, doesn't matter at short ranges. Literally the only advantages I see for Incomparable in ranked are concealment and overmatch. But you won't stay dark for long in ranked, and you don't need overmatch if you can pump 16 shells into the enemy superstructure.
