A halfway decent torpedo DD player could have absolutely stopped them cold. The enemy team didn't have one. So this hilarity happened.

It could be worse, it could be 3 US Hybrid BB. Still even i can see POWER of 36 203MM Auto Loaders getting flung at something. That is some premium Division play though, sticking together for AA and ASW defense and focusing fire on one enemy at time.

Well. You thought 3 US hybrid BB is a nightmare.. my friend and I exprerienced 4 US hybrid BB and a goddamn Malta while in my team, there’s only the CV, no Hybrid. My friend did not enjoyed 5 CVs going after him on a DD for the whole game. It made him rage out of the game xDD

If there had been a DD there he would have just gotten cringed on by the submarine and the BBs would have just turned into the ring of islands to safety. DDs, especially torpedoboats, don't play middle often anyways, and when they do it does not end well

One benefit of the Illinois is if your on the other team and your trying to earn Fireproof. Just stay in the Illinois range and you will get the award easy. Having lived in Illinois i am surprised there is not a tax to play her lol!!

Just my opinion. Prime example of the manipulation of game mechanics. I get that people want to win this game. However, shouldn't we be winning based on skill and ability vs how many people we can get to focus on one player? Some would respond that this is a teamwork game. However in a game that determines matchups based on tiers and class of ships. It's difficult to understand the concept of teamwork. The lack of skill base matchups Leeds to matchups with plays at different skill levels. So you're an elite player fighting a noob and you need teamwork? Further in Warships the ideal of teamwork appears to only mean focus fire. Personal skills, positioning, modulator control and other skills should also be important to teamwork so others don't have to carry you. I apologize, it's not my intention to present this issue in such a negative light. However the game loses its appeal when new people and ppl of little experience finally realize that the low win rates and lack of being able to compete at noob tiers has less to do with a players skill vs the manipulation of game mechanics by players with elite experience. In conclusion. The game will not get better for game experience but we don't recognize that the player base can control the game culture. As long as we continue to support shortcuts, justify manipulation of game mechanics, the gameplay will not get better. Winning is fun and important in our culture, be a winner to win.

Honestly that North Carolina player got what he deserved. He moves up slightly and starts backing up thinking he'll be protected and keeps using his forward guns only. He exists for one thing .. the let OTHERS take the brunt of any battle while he steal the damage and kills he can. I hate players like that and love it when they go down.

For instance i'd love to add the Missouri or the Musashi but those ships can't be acquired, regardless if you're an average player or a whale. If the Illinois is problematic, then that's a balance issue. Not a pay to win issue.

@@sirtogii5216 1) He did triple BB div, which is already a deterrent to his team, especially when that div rush mid -> that is not try harding. 2) Illinois has the strength of cruiser gun and almost BB survivability but at the same time, she lose cruiser's utility and BB's fear factor and nuking ability -> strong in limited situation but not OP at all.
