Context. This thing is strong when playing this specific operation against bots that sail in straight line and no risk of getting spotted, in a scenario that Jingles knews by heart. In any sort of PvP, it takes just one CV casually flying over your head to ruin your day (which is true for any DD, but this one in particular).

In my opinion no apology is needed when showing a PvE match that has special meaning like showcasing abilities or just those crazy things that happen sometimes. A PvE can be just as entertaining to watch like this one; a dream match.

That's a very good idea. Esp. now that we can play them with tier 6 to 10 (11?). For example in this battle the Los Andes going northeast is a very selfish move that can give him some decent damage numbers but often leads to the center collapsing. And guess what happened here. Because of that, there wasn't enough firepower to kill the Grosser Kurfuerst. Granted, getting the 3 BBs is pretty hard und less you have a very good DD and the team stays together from the south. Jingles could also have been a bit more aggressive at times IMHO but hey, it was his first battle in the thing.

@@teebob21 Knowing the spawn points can be crucial. And nowadays most Ops have at least two variants. (At least I think it's most, didn't count.) Also some objectives pop up during the mission which can take people by surprise and make them difficult to complete. Like the captain you have to pick up and the 3 BBs to destroy in this one.

This was nice to watch. well played in this operation. I mostly play operations, less frustrating and a good way to unwind after a days work. (exceptions to the rule apply ;-) ) I would like WG to make more operations though. They can clearly do it with all the events and such. Hopefully there will be more 'normal' operations in the future.

This is a nice operation or Destroyers. Hermes is a terrible Operation for all ships. :) Especially if you do not manage to kill the planes right at the start. Defense of Naval Station Newport also is not so great for DDs, if you stay in the port area you are sooner or later boxed in, if you go out aggressive, you really need to know where everything spawns otherwise they might spawn right next to you. 500k damage is quite normal on the Tier X Operations, especially if many Battleships are there as they have massively inflated hitpoints. Think one of the best games on this Operation I ever had was with a group of only Dds and cruisers, was whwn it was still capped at Tier VIII. This was pure carnage with all the Torpedoes and Smolkescreens :)

Not sure I will get a La Pampa but the Jinan is a tech tree ship and you can get numbers like that as well. Easy to get big numbers when the enemy is always pushing into you

That OP. Still so many who play it badly. Either rush at start, or hang so far back afraid of getting shot, the transports die before they do. And it's quite hard on tier 10, as people bring stupid ships.

OP premiums are also a crutch that can make poor players think they are good, insofar they even think about whether they play well or not, the worse people are the better they tend to think they are, and when confronted with facts they usually claim to "just play for fun"

Had one dude tell me that Tenessee was a completly valid ship for ops. Despite the 20 knots max speed, makes him trail behind so far he barely in range of anything half the match.

@@Kar4ever3 Tenessee (and other standard BBs) is ok for some missions where you don't have to move too much or can go at a slower pace (Defense of Naval Station Newport, Killer Whale, The Ultimate Frontier, Narai). Others like Raptor Rescue and Hermes are PITA at best. The rest (Aegis, Cherry Blossom) can be done but you have to know where to go when and have little margin for error.

You overestimate the charge of funny button by the stealth factor. The torpedo hits with 25% is win more mechanic which is already in win more game. They are going the way of WOT. All the battles will be stomps one way or the other. Or at least they will if they keep up adding these funny buttons which work better if you are winning.

Well, my numbers suggest that Yodo is better for operations as it hast tons of fast reloading, long range torpedoes for dealing with well everything, and very usable and powerful artillery to usually nuke destroyers. Not so long ago I scored more than 700K damage in Defense of Naval Station Newport.
