It was fought between the Allies and Axis powers. The Allies was an alliance between USA, UK, and USSR. The Axis was an alliance between Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, and Italy. But why do we see the Axis powers as the villains. You see, while both sides committed war crimes, the Axis not only lost, but the war crimes they did was way, way worse that the Allies. Nazi Germany killed over 6,000,000 Jews using concentration camps. Imperial Japan on the other hand raped Nanking. It was so bad that bad that the Bataan Death march, a war crime they also committed, look tame in comparison. I hope you can why a game with characters based on World War II ships and events would portray not just Imperial Japan but the entire Axis power as the villains of the story.

The Atago is a variant of the Myoko class, it was supposed to improve upon her predecessors. Thus she became one of the most powerful cruisers of the interwar era outclassing almost all other cruisers. She was sunk in 1944 in a torpedo attack leading up to the battle of Samar during the battle of Leyte Gulf.

Btw if anyone was wondering why the Vladivostok did not extinguish the fire at the end there, it was probably because he ran out. The russian battleships have a special damage control. It reloads in 30 seconds but you have a limited amount of them.

I've never actually gone looking for other WoWs KZbinrs and Jingles is a good mix of some good game play. To be fair, the Kaga was based on a battleship hull. It's belt armor was reduced from 280mm to 152mm, but that's as much as a 'Murican heavy cruiser...aaand it was an angled shot of I'd say 25-ish degrees so...eh. The only thing I'd say is that the Kaga's belt armor wouldn't have extended that high. Which would have meant overpens :P (this reinforces my earlier statement about having simulator-level armor mechanics and yet having WoW-like cooldown and consumable bullshit. Fucking pick one, WG!)

Not to mention, it is known that ships like the Kaga or Arty like the Lefefefe have good armor because they are based on a BB or Heavy respectively.

@@rubbara I agree, that CVs built on BB/BC hulls should be reasonably hard to pen if that CV retained the original armour. If the armour was removed to reduce weight then it shouldn't bounce as easily. Then again a HE hit to the hanger, or to a flight-deck full of planes should spawn an inferno - not the smouldering they have now.
