The Mighty Jingles Jingles please talk about the sound bug in WOWS the devs screwed it seems over laptop users. Because we end up with this static sound that just ruins the game for us. And this have existed from the beginning of the beta and the DEVs have done nothing to help. So having a guy like you say something would hopefully get a fix put out. Because it sucks having to play the game with sound off, because with it one it just an overwhelming amount crackling sounds of static. Something I've never had ocur before for any game i've ever played.

Jingles, one of the things I love about your videos is that you narrate EVERYTHING. I can keep my iPod in my pocket while washing dishes, and as long as I can hear I know what's going on almost as well as you do. Also, I REALLY want wows to hurry up and get onto the consoles.

Hey jingles love your channel would just like to say thanks to you i've tried out world of warships starting a few days ago and have reached the south carolina. though i have no way to record my games i just wanted to say the two weirdest things that have ever happened to me in the game so far is watching a friendly shell bounce off a enemy destroyer then myself in the south carolina having my steering knocked out while my ship took no damage. Anywho can't wait for more world of warships or world of tanks.

In fairness, the Chikuma is a brilliant little ship; I have one myself that I have sworn I'll never sell. But one can only imagine the dread that skipper must have felt when his Tier II ship was stuck in such a high tier match. The best he probably could have hoped for would have been to use the islands as cover, stay out of the bulk of the action, wait for the enemy to get distracted by sailing around the sides of the map, then shoot down the narrows to try & start capping while nobody was around. And even that would be a suicide run, even for cruisers twice his tier.

The problem with the Mutsuki isn't that it is bad, it's that it's noticably WORSE than the Minekaze that preceeds it in all the relevant parameters. It's slower and less maneuverable, its stock torpedoes are CRAP (6km range means no stealthy launches) and its upgraded torpedoes may have the range, but they're too slow. It has the same problem as the Pensacola compared to the Cleveland - the lower tier ship is just flat out better...

HerrRoehrich The critical aspect for me between the two is: Minekaze: 3 twin torp launchers w/40sec reload Mutsuki: 2 triple torp launchers w/70sec reload The Minekaze has more flexibility AND can get more fish in the water. The guns on both are optional extras (over 50% of my Minekaze battles I've never fired a shot). The final hull & gun upgrade on the Mutsuki makes the guns more useful in a turn (just), but removes half of them in favor of AA - which makes the AA capabilities slightly less embarrassing than stock.

Muck006 Very, very occasionally they come in useful, when you absolutely must have a cap reset, and there's not enough time for the torps to travel to target (or the target movement is so erratic that torp hits are not guaranteed).

I played the map in my Minekaze. Got mirror situation. All went east. Me and one Mutsuki guarded west. And as Jingles said we were able to hold the majority of the red team steaming down till our main force realized whats going on and turned back. Love to play with quicker torpedoes with shorter range. But for this game it would be better to have those 10km slow torps.

I'm going to forward the notion that the destroyer in the enemy cap was probably better suited for dodging torpedo bombers and dive bombers than an Aoba who is engaging 4 enemies at a time, regardless of how many destroyers he has to help him. So yeah, that destroyer did the very important job of distracting the enemy carriers

Admittedly, you could also argue that if the Aoba's allies hadn't been going for the enemy cap, the carriers would have been paying 100% attention to him. Divebombers, and torpedo bombers in addition to the battleships, destroyers, and the cruiser in there. Also, I'd like the Cleveland more if I didn't lose a turret eeeeevery match. x.x;

The Aoba is fucking amazing for it's tier. I've carried so many games in it. It's a carry ship. The rest of the IJN cruisers, much less so.

On the Mutsuki - the reason some IJN destroyer captains don't like it compared to the Minekaze is due to the Mutsuki's initial torpedo loadout. It only gets two torpedo launchers and the initial torpedoes have a range of six kilometers while the ship has a detection range of 5.9. Unless you can dump almost 15000 free xp and the gold to get it onto it, grinding the Mutsuki to play like other IJN ships is painful.

Gundam Pharmacist Not quite, the reason is that Mutsuki has the same number of torps and torp range, but longer reload and only 2 tubes, meaning if 1 of them gets knocked out you lost half of your torps. Also, it is 1 tier higher, but in prettymuch all aspects, a downgraded Minekaze.

Maree Printemps Exactly. Its guns are just as bad as on other IJN DDs, and you get two torp salvos that reload 70 seconds. Minekaze can put twice as many torpedoes in the water in the same time period. I'm grinding trough it, but personally i would prefer even the Isokaze to Mutsuki...

Maree Printemps Yeah, that's what I meant, the Mutsuki only gets two torpedo launchers - they fire three torpedoes at once, but that doesn't help when you have a long reload, initially .1 kilometers between torpedo range and detection range, and the typical (read: practically useless) main guns. Getting the upgraded torpedoes helps with the pain, but it doesn't cure the symptoms. I feel so sorry for the guys and girls that are stuck grininding the Mutsuki out without gold/free xp!
