World Poker Tour 1x09 L.A. Poker Classic

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is a series of international poker tournaments and associated television series broadcasting the final table of each tournament. It was started in the United States by attorney/television producer Steven Lipscomb, who served as CEO of WPT Enterprises (WPTE), the firm that controlled the World Poker Tour up to November 2009. In 2008, the WPT started offering bracelets to its event champions. Players who won a title prior to the release of the WPT Bracelet, were given one retroactively.

I remember seeing Bob Stupak on an episode of High Stakes Poker. He only played a few hands and spent most of the episode just wandering around the room in the background. Of course Gabe Kaplan had plenty to say about it.

@@namk19 early wpt didn’t have the larger amount of players the later episodes did. Also wpt tournament format was bad with blinds and antes raising way too quick which made it way more luck based and less skilled lol

Just read up on this Bob Stupak.. interesting dude! Was wondering about his face. Turns out he was in a major motorcycle accident where he basically broke every bone in his face. He recovered and went on to see his dream of opening up the Stratosphere Casino realized. He was a major Vegas personality. RIP
