I glanced at that German athlete's outfit and now I'm pregnant.

I watched him race after race after race clipping hurdles. He got further and further down the track before clipping one but always did...until he didn't and he made history.

If Colin Jackson wasn't about, Tony Jarrett would have been a multiple gold medalist. He was a great athlete and I always wanted him to beat Jackson! Funny how we had two world class hurdlers at the same time and haven't had one since.

Also had Jon Ridgeon, who came through at the same time as Jackson but unfortunately suffered badly with injuries.

Tony Dees had called Jackson 'a bottler' before this race and went on to trail in last himself. At least he had a good view of Jackson breaking the world record.
