This run took honestly too long to finish since i was stubborn about not saving at chapter 7 and hoping to first try the SOS Beacon Skip. I eventually gave up and started saving at chapter 7 to retry the skip and even here i lost like 4 minutes at SOS Beacon skip 1:10:27

Is there a good video explanation on how to do most of the glitches and skips you do? I’d like to beat the game on impossible at least once, but the game freaks me out, so I figure if I can speed through portions, skip areas, and never go through another quarantine (after chapter 7) I’ll do it. I can probably study what you do a little bit, but any explanation or forums I can follow for specific advice on the glitches and skips? Like what to do, when and where to do it

If you just want to beat the game on impossible, you don’t really need speedrun strats. There are other ways to abuse game mechanics and bugs. There is the (near) infinite money exploit with the Pulse rifle or the divider enemy. You can return to the menu screen for a brief time after you died and reload the save file (or just back up your save). You can attach the line gun trap to a moveable object and laser all enemies in a room away. If you do all of these, the game actually becomes too easy by the end and you constantly become inventory limited but it might ease you into the Impossible difficulty. Just today I finished my Platinum trophy on PS5 with my Impossible run :)

I tried this when it first came out. Beat the game once then tried impossible and i was doing good only used plasma cutter fully upgraded armor upgraded. Pimp slapping everything outta my way and got close to the ending until i was walking down a hallway and that bastard connected to a wall off screen completely blindsided me and killed me in one shot Haven't played since I really wanted that foam finger

Can you explain to me what you do in 51:00 with the save? because I think I softlocked it in the part that a the panel with Life Support is not spawning there. Thanks!

In the earlier part here 49:40 you need to wait near the door for dialogue to start, then wait at 50:30 for the dialogue to finish, otherwise you softlock if i recall. Been a bit since i ran this 😅

it's the same as second highest difficulty but only permadeath. Not sure if they patched this but you were able to just press escape if you died, and reload the save quickly again before the full death animation finished without losing the impossible difficulty status.

I'm currently trying and it is very Hard since you have to be very careful with the damage you take and with the events that can cause insta kill!

I'm a bit confused about the savegame state tbh. In other speedruns it says "Chapter 02: Intensive Care". Yours says "Chapter 01: New Arrivals". But it's exactly the same starting point, that's were the confusion comes from ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe you could help me out, please? :)

you mean when ever i open the audio/text file logs? i manually go to chapter 1 files to open text file cause its faster than opening audio logs to skip cutscenes / dialog.

Just save at every station, and if you die, just press start asap and back to main menu. you keep your save on impossible and just reload and continue again.
