@@SpeakerWiggin49 On the contrary, I think Djinn games are relatively quick. Once you have the Djinn down and it survives a turn, its pretty much game over 90% of the time. Either you or opponent surrenders depending on who holds the card & land advantage.

Crokeyz, you are the Greatest! Love the "in the trenches" grind using a "starter" mono-red brew. Teaches us that getting to Mythic is something everyone "should" be able to do, regardless of our rare & mythic wildcard count.

Yes. To be fair, Crokeyz is a better than average player with extensive experience and meta knowledge, but my first ever weekend playing the game I hit Mythic with Mono-Blue Djinn (I had been watching content for long enough to know the meta, but still it was far easier than I expected). I actually didn't end up making that my main account, but it was super fun.

@@piercearora7681 Yeah, in any game that has a ranking system playing the meta is an easy way to reach the top. I think it would be interesting to see a fresh F2P account to mythic without crafting cards.

The matchmaking also helps you since at the beginning you are paired with low ELO players that don't know how to use removal on Raiju before combat

@@OmNommSnom I would take issue with either the word "easy" or "top" but I guess that depends on how you define them. Sometimes, playing to a game's meta involves more challenging gameplay or rather just being more skilled. Especially with a high skill ceiling and low skill floor. You may try to do what the guides say but can you?

Great idea and that is a solid benchmark to start with. Perhaps we need records with each deck colour, difficult for other colours to compete with this. Look forward to seeing excessive mono red on ladder ;)

Love this idea. I would have enjoyed seeing a bit more of it though, maybe include the games where you tier up as well as rank up? Maybe include a few of the losses to keep up the drama? I also think you don't necessarily need to put a f2p restriction on it, as it would let you do speed runs to mythic with other decks too. Either way, cool content.

1. Very interesting concept. 2. This proves Crokeyz is undeniably a pretty good player. 3. Unfortunately, the F2P version of this is literally only doable with monored (or maybe monoblue, but it would be hell). 4. A P2W version might still end up being monored since it's the fastest high-winrate deck 😅 5. Number of matches instead of time would be a reasonable alternative for slower decks, but it certainly lacks the pizzazz. 6. Anvil could be a solid choice for F2P, but the problem with most decks is obviously the manabase. Getting past Platinum with a clunky budget deck is a real challenge.

wow, that was fast! really nice fire/ligthingning mage and barbarian monk combo, Diablo was kinda hard but Bahaal was a breeze as expected... I wander if Necro or Druid would be feaseble as well but probably take a lot longer... Paladin does require a lot of rares but maybe there is a version that can spiritual hammer its way to justice, I used to do one with lots of spirits last season with the clarion commander Paladin Summoner build, quite fun budged build for leveling up!

It's really weird though. Because of current mono-red/soldiers running rampant, I'm currently running a mono black Corrupt list similar to what CGB showcased a few days ago and it's just farming any aggro deck, decent against midrange and I have only lost against control (simply because they have better card draw). What's more weird is that I've tried running aggro myself in the last couple of seasons and using anything other than Soldiers gets dunked on pretty hard. I have no idea how mono-red gets the current win-rates, at least in BO1 is seems underclassed by the majority of other decks.

I’ve done this 20+ times. With Alchemy Standard and Limited. I tried it 1st day the ladder came out - (few years ago). I haven’t finished in 10 hours but I’ve been under 12 multiple times. Usually with a UW Flyers decks So technically “maybe “ I was the first , since I did this the first day you could possible do this. I can post the Untapped GG account to show this. If need be
