Perfect name. My business in Washington is named Tyee Home Inspection. Not many know it's a native American word meaning chief, big, or the best. Nice looking boat design and I wish you good luck with it.

I'm seriously thinking you guys need to have way better boats and equipment when you're charging $5k per fisherman. I would be a little upset if I paid $5g's and found out I was going to be in a 25yr old 15ft John boat with no electronics. Yeah , when you charge high end , you have to provide high end services.

Congratulations Jordan….your perseverance, personality and business plan have paid off…i wish you and Addicted, the best of luck and massive success with your business in Patagonia…since those Salmon there are a breed apart, I really hope that American interests, along with the cooperation of the Chilean govt, work to maintain that resource, and regulate the number of outfitters so that they will not overfish those Salmon, to the degree that our Salmon and Steelhead resources have been….

That looks like a really healthy river and ecosystem. I grew up fishing the Kenai river. This sadly and lucky for me feels a lot like the Kenai river in the 80's. Hopefully people can learn from the mistakes made in the Kenai and learn better management for the fish and not the fishermen. Chile looks incredible I'm already looking at ways to get there someday in the near future.

This all started with 20,000 Cowlitz River hatchery smolts and an abandoned salmon ranching experiment in southern Chile in the late 1970's. As robust as the fish are, they aren't going to beat the Wannoch River(Rivers Inlet, BC, Canada) Chinook salmon. Let me know when they bag a few 100+ lbers. Having said that I'd still love to travel down there and indulge.

Wow! What a blast. My biggest Chinook is 38 pounds and it took me decades. Caught him on a single coyote #6 green and chrome with a 8'6" rod and a mooching reel with no drag and...a barbless hook. It was so exhilarating and nerve wracking at the same time. We followed it about a 1/4 mile right outside of Bamfield BC. What you're doing looks like how it was in the 1970's in Washington. Looks like a blast fellas. 👍 Take care of those runs. We know how valuable they are. Btw, I retired that spoon.

I think Jordan will have to be packing bigger fishing rigs from now on if he wants to catch monsters!
@johngoodell27755 ай бұрын
A medium level of sportfish harvest may be completely warranted . A non-native fishery has its own issues. After dying from spawning in rivers, the Chinook carcasses can create an excess of nutrients in the water since there are no natural scavengers of Salmon carcasses in South America, as there is in North America. Beautiful looking country - looks like a blast.
