just re-watched your dominant trilogy sweep. i think we all can agree, when joey first got sub 30 we thought he was on his own level that no one could reach, it's insane that with our small community there was someone else on that same level. it's such a damn shame that your runs don't get the views/ exposure they deserve. we all suffer from being Sega and not having a viral "content creator" unfortunately. none of that matters to me and i hope it doesn't effect anyone's drive and passion for the game. i hella appreciate all you have done for us, and in the long run it will matter more than you think right now

Congrats to Eandis. It’s amazing he got this despite a bunch of fairly big mistakes in the beginning (He said he was thinking of resetting in SSL), in Rainbow Road, and with the Bowser throw. Thirty years ago, Joe Stanski told us: "Take a trained monkey, place him in front of the screen with a genesis controller and he is able to play the game pauseless." Thirty years later Chonkal told us: "I have to pause my game like a TAS. It's very complicated and unwatchable for the viewers." And TeeNTee said, err, he pressed during his Sonic The Hedgehog 2 speedrun, I don't remember what level, the wrong button (Pause) on the controller. Question for you to both. Is Sonic the Hedgehog 2 speedrunning today too complicated with 20 and more tricks with pause buffering in the game, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future, concerning pause buffering, errrm, during the run? Less seconds to pause in the whole run, more? Or less and more comunication with the SRC mods about the rules.

Why does Tails getting hit at the end of Launch Base Act 1 end the stage early?

not sure what you mean? Act 1 ends as soon as one of the two bosses we spawn gets killed, and act 2 ends when we kill the remaining one

@@eandis99 I think I just asked the question really badly because these tricks are so crazy that I don't even know how to describe what's happening! lol... So, normally, only one bad guy spawns. But as you zipped in, somehow both baddies with the spinning spikes appear.. You kill one, it ends the stage.. then you leave the other one until Act 2 beings, kill that one, and it instantly ends that act too ? It's so smart, I can't believe how optimised and incredible all these glitches are and how anyone even found them or how you pulled them off. I'm so impressed as this is one of my favourite games ever. I was 12 when S&K was released, I came home from school and my mum had bought it for me without even asking, I'd just been talking about it so much and the day it came out I got to play it after school. Great memories.

@@MOSMASTERING yep! The actual reason there's two of them instead of one is because we zip into Knuckles' boss arena - which has two of these guys spawn in, instead of normally only one for Sonic. Since the game is obviously not made to handle 2 of them when you're playing as Sonic, you can just kill one of them and keep the other one for act 2!

There's actually a skip for when knuckles comes out the ground. When tails lands if you have a second controller, he can jump and grab sonic and fly him while knuckles is running away, and that can save more time.

Sonic spindashes into the screen very quickly, it pushes the floor to the left, so there is a gap on the very right edge (he uses it when Tails falls there) and the left edge has solid floor.
