On close observation, the weigh station in 3:21 is in Pihia, in the Bay of Islands. There are others 'relatively' close by which include, Whangaroa (north of Pihia) and Tutukaka (south of Pihia). Hope that helps

gam its harder then line fishing you idiot 😂
@Gamgam4843n6 жыл бұрын
what? theres no fight when you spear it... A 50kg king on line would be near impossible for most to bring up. Anyone can spearfish...
@locust77776 жыл бұрын
What? They come so close he could almost touch them. How is that hard??? Just a man in the right place at the right time. No skill at all.

Spearfishing is not true fishing

Of course it is it's just a different technique

It's just way more hardcore
@slyarsenal2 жыл бұрын
@@horus2153 That's subjective. Shooting a fish dead isn't really hardcore. The fish has no chance to fight. I do respect that these guys risk their own lives against sharks and potential hazards but I'm a purist at heart. People who fish the conventional way, as in rod and reel, actually have a better connection with the fish than those who shoot it. I'm not saying spearfishing doesn't require any skill, of course it does with the addition of fitness as well, but when you're hooked on a huge fish and it takes hundreds of metres of line, that to me is more exhilarating because you know its going to be a true battle. This allows the fish a chance to survive which is much more sporting

Wankers with spear guns!!. Why kill a fish like this?. Catch and release is the only way with this size fish. They are so easy to shoot and have no fear of man under the water. Im sad this even happened, def nothing to be proud of...

Yup agree. What a waste of a majestic fish
@sera56jase5 жыл бұрын
Is it still a waste if it is eaten? Is it more or less waste to kill 5 other fish to get the same amount of meat?
