@@gucketjug only if the material is harder, in this case it isn't, and gloves aren't gonna protect from that kind of damage. Like he said, chrome is stronger than plastic. It's not fragile. But it can be discoloured or eroded by oils. What I'm trying to say is, your point is irrelevant

He’s not trying to protect the chrome as much as he’s trying to keep the oils of the hand from tarnishing the finish of the saber. Over time, when you handle a saber like this with your bare hands, it starts to tarnish and fade the finish. The gloves also keep the fingerprints off!!! This saber is a fingerprint magnet!!

Holy crapamoly! I honestly am unable to express in words how much I want a saber like this, only difference I would have would be a neopixel blade as there are neopixel connectors that would fit inside the way you made this blade. Also, would find out if that lightning effect could be done in a crystal chamber, but otherwise identical. This is my favorite lightsaber, but I know I’ll never afford one as it has to be entirely custom like this, as opposed to Graflex or other saber designs that chassis have been done by many sabersmiths and are much more affordable. Can imagine one could probably purchase a car with how much this build cost... Master Jeff’s collection is a virtual armory of beautiful art. Spectacular work!

kidwajagstang Mega Thanks for the kind words and compliments!! We discussed doing Neopixel but because of the very limited space inside the hilt and the addition of a small Crystal Chamber we had to use an 18500 lithium battery. Unfortunately with a Neopixel setup this would give you about 15 minutes of runtime...In the future I believe battery tech will get much better and one day this will be possible

Dude this is beautiful work! How do you only have 1.38k subs?! You’re an artist. When I inevitably find a Tusken Slayer hilt (apparently WJ is doing a run soon) I hope you might be available for a commission. I’ve wanted the AOTC Anakin saber for 15 years now but the MR FFX is rare to come by, over priced for used/non working when you do find it, and I would prefer to spend the extra for the smaller, more movie accurate hilt with the better blade, soundboard, etc. Looking at a Watto’s Junkyard Tusken Slayer, do you think you’d be able to customize it for a crystal reveal? So far I’ve only found one person who has a crystal reveal in their hilt and I love that feature. Again, fantastic work! Liked and subbed, can’t wait to see more, and I’m gonna like your FB page right away :)
