I've been using the hype 4 exclusively. I use the autoeq to either hbbs target when I'm looking for a more balanced sound, or jaytiss when I'm looking for more fun. Great, versatile set

​@jayyaudio I've seen some mixed reviews of the Estrella. I understand the concept of finding a reviewer who aligns with your preferences, but sometimes I think they should try to be a little bit more objective. Ok, maybe the Estrella doesn't replay "your" favorite album the way you prefer, but it may be perfect for someone else. Sonically, I love the Estrella. The sub bass is clean and hits with authority. The vocals sit in that perfect area, not too forward or recessed, and they are captivating. The treble leans a little bright while still taking the edge off, I really enjoy it. From 20 to 20k it has nice details and resolution. The head-stage is wide, has good depth and separation, you can get lost in it for hours. The Estrella just moved to the top of my list. Beating the 61T, Dynaquattro, DMA, I can keep going. My single complaint with the Estrella is every other set I own, anywhere near it's cost, is accessorized better. Other than that, the Estrella is a phenomenal iem, you should be proud of it. Nice job Jay!

Deuce with the impedance adapter puts the bass shelf pretty much on par with the maestro mini. the treble is a little smoother because of the DD in lieu of BAs too

Hey Jay. Nice video. Did moondrop ever make a dsp app for the iPhone? Just thinking about trying the dusk. Or at least playing with my Moondrop May. Also, maybe it's a good idea to team up with some awesome programmers and create your own dsp iem. That way we have no need to own multiple iems. Just one is enough. As long as the drivers are good enough to give great details, texture on bass, good soundstage and imaging. Each person can tweak the sound as they like. Or you can create presets to match all the iems you listed in the video.

as crin said, comparing your own product with others may not look great, but honestly I think its fine if you put the necessary disclaimers before. in your past videos, if someone wasnt a follower and wasnt aware the estrella was your product, they wouldnt have known from your comparisons as you just talked about it like the other iems, but if you just say beforehand "this is my collab so take my opinion with a grain of salt because I will be biased", I think thats enough for people to choose if they want to trust your word or not, and may encourage them to go to other reviewers as well

I have the Estrella with the Yongse Alpine cable. Absolutely amazing sounding IEMs and versatile for all genres of music, with a garbage cable included. It's actually a $400 set, cos with the Alpine cable, it looks definitive 😜💯. Surprisingly, the foam tips included is good enough for me. Still awaiting for my Deuce 🔥🔥💪

I really think it's U-shaped just like my T3+ and since I've used my T3+ for 2 years, Estrella sounds familiar and a direct upgrade from the experience. I tried the tape mod for 1 week, but now I prefer Estrella without the tape but with my EQ settings. My experience is just amazing 😎

I like the pilgrims a lot. I don’t find them thin or lacking in bass at all but they do respond to EQ quite well. I had the hype4’s and I like the pilgrims a lot better.

I think he’s showing you how the $250-$350 market is where it’s at now and the sub $200 market can’t compete with these. You can get a great quality set that would’ve cost $500/$600 just a few years ago. I would rec the Ziigaats personally. Arete for warm/neutral/balanced, Doscincos for basshead all rounder and Estrellas for those who watched the vids and think they want it. They’re awesome. All $260-$300.

I am stuck and need your help Jay 🗣️! I know you mentioned the Doscinco and it seems like that makes the most sense as my answer, based on what you said. Just wanna make sure it would fit me better than the Concotres, or if you had something else in mind, just in case. I have the Aful Magicone and am looking at upgrading, with a budget of $280 or less pre-tax. My two I’m looking at are either the Ziigaat Doscinco or Concotres, but am open to others. I listen to mostly ballads, with acoustic guitars, pianos, and some erhu instrumentals. Every now and then I’ll listen to something a little bassy like the song- Nicole by Taylor Ashton, so I would still like to feel that bit of thump, without it ruining everything else in the song lol.

Get the doscinco. If you don't like its darkness turn down the bass with a whatever-band EQ.

tbh, I will suggest Estrella, esp. if you going for Doscinco.. I listen to guzheng, pipa and erhu too, also Chopin mostly, the strings are very sweet with Estrella which is my daily use.. it is detail and clean, so the string is fantastic.. Except, the bass and treble are more compared to Cincotres, so it depends on ppl.. I personally like bass, only recently, with Estrella, I find treble is so fun and interesting..

I do have a Letshouer S15 and can attest for its clean and detailed sound. Also mid bass has a strong slam when the recording also has it. Very pleased with it. I've had the dusk for about a week now. I'm honestly not super impressed with it. My Kiwi Ears Quintet sounds better by default. The dusk default sound without the DSP cable is kinda meh. I have to EQ it to make it sound good. The bass is ok but accurate. The mids are good. The treble is too smooth and dull sounding without EQ. I don't get the hype over this IEM. Maybe it's my ears. I don't know. Btw it's plugged into a Fiio K5 Pro dac amp. I have the Tea Pro coming in next week. Hopefully I enjoy that more.
