Pretty cool video, if you want some info ive been eating bonilla since i was a kid so i can tell you a few things: I live pretty close to the factory where they make the chips, north of Spain in Galicia. The pack is 64% chips, 34% olive oil and the rest is salt, its not that they use 34% of olive oil and the rest is a different kind of oil, everything is cooked in olive oil of decent quality, and thats why they are kinda expensive (and also why they have that nice golden color). I visited the factory when i was a kid in a school trip and we saw the entire process. Its potatoes fried in olive oil and salt, no extra crap like lays and other big brands. In Spain the "chip culture" is old so we have a lot of those local one factory brands that are quite good and expanded and now sell all over the country but they kinda do the things like they did 80 years ago just modernized, like bonilla, santa ana (santa ana are my favourites by far, if you visit Spain try to find them in the supermarket) and many others. I read on the newspaper last year that after the chips appeared on the movie they increased their sales 130% on their website and they hired 8 people, so its pretty cool for a small local brand to get that kind of exposure internationally. Its funny cuz i dont think this brand is even well known/sold in many parts of Spain but some people know it in other countries because of the movie. If someone is curious about the prices locally, i can get them for 2.10€ 150g and 3,75€ for 300g. The "buckets" i think are only sold online now (i remember seeing them at the supermarket when i was a kid but not anymore) and its 10€ for 275g and 14€ for 500g so 20$ its not that bad for international shipping i guess.

Chips in bags aren't filled with air - they're inflated with nitrogen. If there were air (which includes oxygen), your chips would oxidize and go stale or rancid. The inflated bag also aids in manufacturing and bagging. Without the puff, they bags don't behave well on belts that move the product around the production line and also protects the chips inside from getting crushed.

In the UK ready A case of 24 x 150g of these crisps £84.99 British Sterling. Now a little info Bonilla a la vista Patatas Fritas, produced in Spain for over 80 years, are gourmet crisps for all occasions. Made from the finest potatoes cooked in cold pressed olive oil, slightly salted to perfection, and packaged in a unique 500g tin. These crisps turns most heads! Make a taste statement, and make a visual statement. The striking tin is perfect for parties, picnics, and all sorts of celebrations - it’s full to the brim and you can simply place on the table so that guests can help themselves. Two specific varieties of the very best potatoes, grown naturally in the hills of Galicia in northern Spain make these wonderful crisps. They're finely cut and cooked in extra virgin cold-pressed olive oil that’s carefully refined at 0.4 degrees. Each gourmet crisp is then hand-selected for perfection and lightly sea-salted before packing. They contain no artificial ingredients or preservatives. This tasty natural product also comes with a charming history: in 1932, Salvador Bonilla visited fairs and festivals local to his home in Ferrol selling his churros and potato chips under the name Bonilla a la Vista. He took to his bike and distributed his wares cheekily handing them out in cafes. Come the 1960s, the family moved to A Coruña, (down the road) where their reputation grew. These days, under son Cesar Bonilla Vasquez, they’re a household name in northern Spain and are now just beginning to export exclusively in England through Riverside Lifestyle. Bonilla Crisps remind us of our dream lifestyle where tastes and smells remind us of balmy days, where olive groves rustle in the wind, and fruit ripens in the sun and sea breeze. This family business has us imagining mother, father and assorted sons, daughters, friends and cousins all pitching in to make fresh, flavoursome food they can be proud of; food so good Riverside Lifestyle are delighted to share it with you and your own loved ones.

The best potato chips that I ever had was my Mom's homemade chips. I also grew up with Charle's potato chips which is stored in a tin.
