Having gone back and forth between the USA and Japan several times and having lived in Japan in for an extended amount of time I'm still highly appreciative of the Japanese construction works planning, ability and work ethic. Meanwhile over and over I've watched construction crews here n the USA from my office window, my highway commute or various walks around town.. play fight, horse around and laugh or talk while major critical construction work lags way behind and thousands or more people are inconvenienced or prevented from doing their jobs thus wasting large sums of private and public money. And when the US construction workers I've seen do work... it's at a pace that is nowhere as efficient as the workers we see here in this great video. No, I realize it's not everyone that's like this and there are good hard workers here is the USA construction industry...but I've seen to much waste, fraud and abuse not to be cynical. We could learn a lot from the Japanese..

You are just an idiot here n the USA from your office window. You would not know what a proper engineered solution to a road problem is. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZeXqI2Mmb2Kg7M

Interesting thanks for sharing. A few curiosities: In your travels, years of residing in both countries, observations, learning, gathering facts, ... In your experiences where does the most: Bureaucracies, red-tape, administration, management, permits, fees, controls, inspections, quality-control, time-of-work, job-descriptions, work-periods, worker appreciation for their talents, skills, artisanship, and finished products occur? In which country occurs the most litigiousness? In which country occurs the most costly insurance premiums say for, health, medical, worker-injury, liability, etc? In which country fosters, trend, vogue to IG/ Instant Gratification? In which country focuses on longer term functions, reliability, longevity of tasks being done? In which country do more wastefull, squanderings, corruptions, whether of tax funds, financial schemes, deciet, scams, inflation dances with speculators, all plus interest / usury, etc. Thus consequential burdens on individuals, small businesses & farms, now and into future?

@@RayR your not the only person who sees the difference in work ethics. Australia also has that poor way of approaching work. Poor workmanship and poor engineering. I only wish we had the Japanese workers here. Things might get done properly.

if i was doing that job, i would have used a silica fume and cement mix to seal where the pipe joined the concrete outlet. in which case, the formwork wouldnt have needed to be that large. i like the rings in the concrete driveway. i also like the wide shoe-soles when doing the concreting on the driveway. i used to do concreting. we just never walked on the wet stuff or used knee-boards.

Orang Jepang memang hebat semua dikerjakan so sophisticated and perfectly meskipun costnya termasuk buat alat beratnya saja ampun besarnya gak masalah buat mereka, but we are in indonesia kalau hadapi masalah seperti itu solusinya sederhana paling slope sebelum paling di bawah diratain sedikit dan kalau masih kepentok bagian bawah truk ditambahin polisi tidur di ujungnya...simple, murah dan pasti lebih cepat 🙃😂
