KZbin does nothing for content creators unless they're REALLY huge. If this happened to PewDiePie or the Paul brothers, KZbin would be all over it - probably Susan W. herself! I, myself, have been cyber-stalked for years on KZbin (across other platforms as well) by a bunch of SJW freaks. KZbin did nothing. I even got death threats from them! I just got off the phone with Berkeley Music Company. A couple things: They had no idea Brad had done a video on them, but were pleasantly surprised. I also decided to send them a box worth of about $300 in current, trending, retail packed guitar accessories, (buncha strings I thought I'd go through, bags of picks I don't use, and a couple nib pedals), to help offset their losses. I'd have laughed if it was at guitar center, but these little guys can't afford to be hit like this. I shouldn't have also added, they gave me a helluva deal on a T-Style earlier last year. Hence why I was quick to jump on the assistance bandwagon. Also real tired of hearing these pocket retailers getting hit. Go pilfer GC for chrissakes. Phreakin tweakers.

Left or Right... Censorship in a free country is NOT ok.
@Metalbass10000
@Metalbass10000 5 жыл бұрын
I agree with you completely. But this isn't censorship. Censorship is when the government bans certain types of speech. This is a private company, and the people who run it are exercising their freedom to choose which products to make, which business opportunities to choose to pursue, and which they will choose to decline. It's no different than the bakery (also a private business) which refuses to bake a wedding cake to a same-sex marriage. A private business cannot be forced to do business with every individual or group which approaches them. I support the freedom of those business owners in both cases.

@@Metalbass10000 I really understand your point of view, and although I don't totally agree with it, I think you do have a fair point for small businesses. Yet when a private business doesnt want to make a cake for gay couple that freedom does not apply, can you explainnhow? Seems like a massive double standard. Also what about private business that is subsidised by government, like I.e. Tesla? Your point seems to be allowing discrimination?

After he left I looked at The wallet Id .... holy shit, it's Juice Newton " the queen of hearts" . Not long afterward I see the Police driving up my street very slow. First of all, Thank you for all of the inspiration in both the music you: Neil, Alex and Geddy have given us throughout the years, the honorable way the band purported themselves as the true professionals they are and we're and will always be known as, three rolled into one and known as a "Working Man". But as we all know it is just a drop in their musical bucket! And how can we ever repay them for the decades of sacrifices which they paid for in endless touring, being apart from their loved ones losing loved ones, family members who they missed and missed them so we could have the joy of their performances. Bringing their show for the world to see. How will we ever be able to repay them for what they brought to us? Rest in peace Neil. Enjoy being with your family and friends Alex and Geddy, be happy, healthy and live the blessed lives you both deserve. Yes you did do it for the money, but I would believe you three had made all the money you each would ever need years ago, which tells me that you continued to perform for the benefit of the world and the fans!!! I write this for all of the truest fans of "RUSH" All the world's indeed a stage And we are merely players Performers and portrayers Each another's audience Outside the guilded cage Thanks again for the RUSH! So "Fly By Night" and we will see you all again in "2112"

I LOVE Moving Pictrues too but, PW was my un-equivacal favourite to this day because it was seard into my brain. Go Hemispheres and back and all is wonderful too. I told my Rush-snob friend that PW is Hemispheres Part II....he still has none of that but he's got eight years of LSD/Bong-Resin/Psyllosybin/Etceterin on me who has none of that but the appreciation of "that" due to the music of his half-generation of my era after him:)

Every musician I've ever known in Toronto called him PERT. Phil Lynnot's mother maintained all her life that the name was pronounced LIE-NOT. Nobody pronounced it that way, though. Same with Peart, which you could pronounce PAIRT as well. It doesn't matter. Most people from TRONO pronounce it that way, not TOE-RON-TOE. +Excellent drummer. Used to see RUSH at the Generator on Yonge Street. Geddy tried my Ricky 4001 after a gig I did with the Paupers; it was the second Ricky bass in Canada, no. 368; he liked it and ended up buying one. I was never into the band's music, but I always respected their musicianship, and they worked hard to get things together in the early days.

Really enjoyable episode Brad. Sad to see so many great musicians go. I'll be honest, I hadn't even heard about Nick Menza's death... he was awesome. I loved the Megadeth albums with him on there. Peart was an absolute legend for sure. Nice job on the tribute played at the end. Thanks!

Brad this is one of your best! Excellent compassion and support for the music community, No matter what level any musician is at. The music community is very big and has no time or space for politics and the dirty side of money. BTW love the Thames television intro, thanks from across the pond, Cool on the ice!

Marcangelus1 made a valid point...what happens if You Tube was notified of the hijacking, yet continued to take their cut of the revenue? I'm no lawyer, but this seems outright illegal...and I'm hard pressed to think how they could use the 'we're a private company' defense in such a case.

Sure you don't need anyone to tell you this Brad, but the strap ad is awsome, good on you for giving some exposure to a company doing it the hard way and not selling their original idea.

Nice tribute to Neil Peart Brad. I've been a huge Rush fan since 12 years old and all through high school I kinda got shit for being a Rush fan but within the last few years all the people who didn't understand their music back then are telling me "Wow, this is actually good music". No shit you fuckin idiots! Geddy Lee is the reason I bought a Rickenbacker 4003 with my first few paychecks at my first real job. I have the first album cover tattooed on my left arm and my friends thought I was nuts for that. That band has been the soundtrack of my life and always will be. I'm disappointed that Rush is actually in the joke that is the RnR Hall of Fame. I kinda wished they would've told them to Fuck Off with that but they are too classy of a band to do something like that. The minute Madonna got inducted was a deal breaker for me. Again, Thank You for the nice tribute to Neil!

A 40 second ad for a 20 minute video (35 minutes on this one) is a small ask. We should do more to support these people. Sorry man, its true. Brad is still Gaewad. 👌

Yeah I’m with ya on the “rock n roll” hall of fame nonsense. When I saw this years group I just couldn’t understand what Whitney Houston and notorious BIG we’re doing on the list as they were pop singers and rappers. There’s just nothing rock n roll about them and with so many bands and artists that just aren’t in it yet it doesn’t make any sense. Maybe I’m just too old and out of touch now

Great arrangement for Limelight, very original rendition! Rush is my favorite, and has been ever since I heard them on the radio in 1980...changed my life in so many ways for the better and I believe they still will as I move on through this marathon. Hey Brad, I really loved this SPF, and I'm not going to lie. Your little impromptu of that Rush song brought a few tears to my eyes. You have a pretty good/nice vibrato in your voice.

funny you mention jazz drummers - i watched a documentary a long time ago where neil talked about completely relearning to play jazz style, with one stick held like a fork - his determination to explore new avenues in his music blew me away... edit: that guitar thief had the tiniest little mouth...
