How to make the easiest Yogurt Cake in the world with 4 ingredients only. So light and refreshing kind of cake.
Here's what you'll need:
500 grams Greek yogurt or creamy yogurt
1/2 cup sugar (100g) or more depending on the sweetness you want
4 eggs (room temp)
1/3 cup cornstarch (40g)

Ive made this cake multiple times & i finally started adding around 3/4 C of sugar & the zest of 1 lemon which gives a a sweeter zestier taste which makes it that much better...served w blueberries or raspberries & omg! Heavenly!!

I made it today. I added some lime zest and baked in the oven longer than the recommended time! It turned out super yumm & delicious! My whole family loved it! Definitely gonna make it again!❤❤❤

just tried, i think ill give it a 6.5/10..❤ the trick to get that burnt look it to bake it on the top oven shelf for the last 7 minutes.

I had Greek yogurt I needed to use before it expired. I’d never heard if yogurt cake. Looks and sounds wonderful to me as I enjoy cheesecake. I had some frozen mixed berries I threw in too, along with a heaping teaspoon of lemon zest. Thanks so much for the inspiration!!! I’m blessed by the love and heart you obviously incorporate into each recipe and all you do . I spent two hours looking at all your recipes & content. Lemon zest is great in this cake! Ive seen ppl use orange zest too but i love lemon so ill probably always use lemon provided i have it on hand! This is such an easy cake to make! I love it!

WOW, getting my recipe clipboard. Going to add shredded coconut, coconut extract and vanilla extract. Can't wait to try this out. If my experiment fails, I'll do the basic recipe. Has to be out of this world. Thank you for this cake. ------ Okay, it's in the oven. I added 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut, big splash of pure vanilla extract, big splash of pure coconut extract. Will let you know... ----------- It's now cooling, and I have to leave. Smells awesome. I pinched a bit off the edge, and it tastes sort of like a lemon parfait. Yum. Hubby says the pinch tastes like a cheesecake. It's a winner. Beautiful days... -------- The next day. Cake is chilling in the fridge. It is half-gone already. Really yummy. It has an inherent lemon flavor. I'm going to look into lemon extract and making lemon zest for the next time. Hubby and me love this cake. Gorgeous day everyone.. --------- The End

Loving this! :) (I used this conversion for the yogurt: How many cups is 500 grams of water? 500 grams of pure water equal 2.11 cups.) Made the following changes in trying this recipe for the first time: 2.11 cups of Chobani's vanilla yogurt, 1/2 cup of Splenda Sugar Blend instead of full sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and 1 tsp lemon extract. Followed the rest of the directions precisely, including putting it in the fridge for 1-2 hours prior to slicing. Outcome: there was no "burn" to the top of the cake as in the picture but it did "brown." I'm guessing that it was due to the type of sugars I used. Also, it took longer than 45 min to get the "brown." The flavor, density, and texture was great and like a light cheesecake. The cake was not dry but I'm wondering if using real sugar would have made it more "creamy with a burnt top" with the shorter bake-time. Will definitely make again.

Love ❤the recipe but I don’t like the burn look so you need to cook it less in the oven to make it look more natural looking plus put a little lemon juice in it and vanilla to give it cheesecake taste thanks for the recipe ❤

Let me start by stating that the cake has a nice taste. It took significantly longer to cook than the video suggested. I cooked it for 2 hours total and let me tell you, the texture of this cake is that of the most soggy scrambled eggs you could imagine. This cake is not moist it's wet. You have to let it complete cool down to get rid of any of the wetness. I suggest leaving it in the fridge for an hour. It was quite tasty after it cooled down! 😋

I am currently baking it and yeah at 1 hour it doesnt have the burnt effect yet so I am guessing it is not done yet..

@@briesmomma4295 I have a gas stove/oven and I had the same issue. Depending on the type of oven you have it could take more or less time. Just keep checking on it until it looks burnt. Good luck and hope it turns out well! ❤

I don't know what I have done wrong, this is the second time I tried and it take more than 35-40 minutes to bake, actually 30 more minutes to see the cake is set. Both times took that long to bake and not just 40 min

Try a different recipe, there are more. Try beating egg whites and fold into mixture. Best them stiff. It’s just eggs, sugar, cornstarch, and yogurt. Let cool iN oven.

Ok look, thus is really a baked custard like thing. I’d suggest looking for another recipe. One that uses Greek yogurt and cream cheese, low fat if you prefer. And less or no eggs.

Oh! Impressive! Ive never made my own but w the price of Greek yogurt i think ill try it! Ive made my own cream cheese from plain yogurt tho..u don't use the Greek yogurt for some reason but i don't recall why. It was relatively simple & easy! Just strain plain non Greek style yogurt using cheesecloth or white thin linen towels thru several strainings if memory serves & the rest is history. If u use organic yogurt it will keep much much longer in ur fridge! .

I wish you would show how you got it off the parchment paper and onto a serving platter. I have a hard time doing that. I made a basque cheesecake and it was awful getting it off the paper. It fell apart. Still tasted amazing, though. :)

Just google it but i watched someone kinda roll it out from under their cake. U can just tear off the edges & leave the paper to b peeled off each portion. I have a really large spatula that slips under almost the entire cake & i can easily remove the paper especially if u have someone to help u w that. There's more ways than 1 to skin a cat as the saying goes!

would be hard to take out. if you're using a spring tin, the cake might crack/lose its shape after you spring the tin open.

It is a little over a pound, about 17.6oz. Many greek yogurts in the USA are sold in 1 pound (16oz) tubs. So, one 1 pound, and a little bit extra. Probably wouldnt have to change much else of the recpie if you just used 1pound of yogurt. Though if your store sells the smaller cups of Fage Greek yogurt, 3 of the 6oz cups will = the 500g you are looking for.
