There's also the vague undertones of "Being bored to death" and such. Maybe they being "intoxicated" is actually an allegory to the whole world trying to tear the two lovers apart? It can be confirmed the two lovers died due to suicide and also at 3:23 you can see something somewhat akin to an open cabinet with two dolls on it. These "cabinets" are often used as a place of prayer/respect for the deceased used in households that mourn for their family. It also appeared earlier in the MV but only with one doll, so it can be inferred that one of them died earlier than the other, which drove the other to do the "One, two".

So my theory’s gonna be kinda confusing but to me the girls in the song commit suicide in the end, therefore it’s like the “world’s end” as they never see the world’s end for everyone else, so this is how it ends for them. The “dancehall” references that depression can be like a dance. You’re seemingly having fun but in reality your going through a lot of tough times to get to that dance, simply putting on a dance or show so that others can feel like you are happy. The whole idea of the “apocalypse” could possibly come from the fact that even if the world hasn’t end that doesn’t change the fact that it’s screwed up. People constantly hurt others, murder happens and people die young of the sickness. In other words, our world is far from perfect and it’ll never be perfect. So for those with depression it’s like an apocalypse and they can commit suicide to escape that. The fact that that this song seems so optimistic is actually really dark. The girls are actually happy they are leaving, their death is what they’ve wanted. At the end of the day, suicide comes down to your choice and you can stop it, but what is the point if you don’t want to? So yeah so people may think it’s upbeat with a dark them, but it’s just sad in my view, particularly when you think this is actually the reality of the world. Either way this is a great cover, one of the best english covers I’ve heard. Great job!

Miku and Luka are like 'The world is ending, let's have all the fun while we can.' So, this song tells us to 'live our life to the fullest' but the way I see it, they commit suicide before the world's end. They'd rather die away from the crowd.
