Izzy The Lily oh? I've never heard of that. I read that it was common in witch hunts and trials to shave or cut a women's hair to deminish their power or to reveal any devil marks. Luka wasn't shaved but her hair being cut would fit the story of the song as well as what said.

While people say the ending is her using her witch powers to fly away or that she's actually a fallen angel, I think it signifies death and when it says "Take these tears, tell their story..." and when the prince takes the feather, it signifies that he is holding on to her story and will pass it down from generation to generation, hence the person in the beginning saying "...Behold such a saddening tale...". It show that they have heard the story, and is now once again passing it down to others.

Actually, going through the comments I saw some people thought Miku was a witch and Run was an angel who fell in love and went to Earth, and through hate had her wings darkened and she flew away to. The narrator sort of indicates this as they mention that their love was beyond magic. The shifting points also indicates that this through she shifting points shifting, as it is told as a story, indicating that this is a tale that has been passed down. The line "behold such a saddened tale" sounds like the story is not a good one. In addition, witches could not pray and the song mentioned that she was praying during the situation

I interpreted the “shouting curses” part as she was yelling out protection spells to save herself, and the townsfolk assumed that they were curses because they all thought that witches were evil. Although, I do believe that the girl could also just have been framed for being a witch because of the priestess’ jealousy, and that the black wings coming out of her back at the end were actually just a portrayal of her death.

I'm just going to say this right now: Miku might have convinced herself that Luka was a witch. She might have seen Gakupo and Luka and thought: "How can a man of his status love a girl of her status?" Remember folks, the classes weren't exactly allowed to mix in those days. So to ease her mind and to give herself closure, the jealous, and VERY religious Miku convinced herself that Luka was a witch that casted a spell over Gakupo to win his love in order to justify such a love and to justify what comes next. She tells Gakupo of this, and not he initially did not want to believe it, but Miku's status as a priestess can't make him say otherwise, since the church would be the real powerhouse of a country in that time. In order to ease his heart of watching his love burn, which he must attend as the prince, he cut her hair in order for Luka not to look like the girl he loved. Despair ridden and filled with spite that Miku filled the town with lies, Luka revealed her true form, that of an Angel or a fairy (since there are stories of mortals falling in love, and even marrying, fairies) and flies away from the town, leaving behind a single feather for Gakupo and leaving him to wonder of she'll ever come back.

You know at the end when the Prince cuts her hair and she thinks it is because he doesn't love her, I think it is the opposite. Back in old England James l released a book about how to find a witch, this sparked most of the witch hunts including the rise of witch killings especially by Mathew Hopkins. The book it says that all witches have a familiar to communicate with the devil, and a strange mark on there body that when cut won't bleed. Another thing the book says that is interesting is that witches have no shadow, live alone and can't cut there hair. Can't cut hair... What if the Prince was trying to save her life in a final attempt to prove to the people she isn't a witch. My theory is that: The ‘witch’ is actually a fallen angel and the true witch is miku. The Jealous Witch Theory: I think Miku was the witch and was jealous of Luka so she tricked the prince into thinking Luka was a witch when she was really an angel. (explaining why the song suggests she considered praying while she was being tied up and the appearance of wings at the very end) She used her own witchcraft to frame Luka and have her executed. It says the witch came to love the prince, explaining her jealousy. And then a similar line with a twist says the witch came to trick the prince, explaining the theory that Miku's jealousy drove her to frame Luka. The following line says she kept the magic hidden, and it shows an image of Miku walking with the prince, which could signify that he thought he could trust her when she was really lying the whole time to keep her secret and keep him to herself... I have two possible explanations for this. Either it is because she is being treated as the witch and thus they call her one, or they consider her to be a good witch rather than an angel, while Miku is a bad witch. As one final point; in the line "no god can help her find her way" she has been doomed despite being an angel because of the power of the witch Miku's dark magic which is why she gave up praying to God for help. This line could also be used to say she wasn't an angel because then God would have been with Luka, perhaps saying that she is simply a good witch rather than an angel or a bad witch.

My interpretation: The supposed witch falls in love with the prince, but the green haired girl loves him as well. She accuses the other girl of being a witch out of jealousy. The prince does everything in his power to prove her innocence (praying, cutting her hair off). After she dies, the green haired girl changed the story up so no one would know she falsely accused her (eg. the changing line from "she came to LOVE a young prince" to "she came to TRICK a young prince"

Actually with the Salem Witch Trials in Massachusetts the accused that were charged with witchcraft were all sentenced/executed by hanging (and one case of execution by stone pressing). It was in European witch hunts that had burning at the stake as one of the methods of execution for someone charged with witchcraft or lycanthropy (along with other ways of execution).

After story: Escaping to a new country, Luka vows to never love anyone again. Keeping her hair short as a reminder of what love did to her, she travels around the new land. One day, she finds twin babies (Rin and Len) abandoned on the side of the road. With her angel instincts, she decides to take care of the twins. Years later, after growing to love them like her own, she finally tells them her tale of sorrow and how a jealous nun caused it all. Understanding, they tell her that they love her dearly and won't judge her like the prince did. Crying, Luka's wings turn from black back to white. Another few years later, Luka is sadly killed by Miku, who discovered Luka was alive, while protecting Rin and Len who are still children at this time. After they grow up, they get split up and Rin becomes a Princess and Len is turned into a servant. Her servant nonetheless. When Len falls in love with the "Green haired girl" and Rin finds out, she remembers of what Luka said, and demands him to kill her. It wasn't out of jealousy... It was to avenge Luka's death. This somehow makes sense to me.

What I think happened is that Luka was an angel who came down to observe humans. She then met Gakupo, who was a Prince, and they fell in love. Miku, who was a nun, saw them, and thought that Luka used her Witch powers to make Gakupo fall in love with her. She then began spreading around that Luka was a witch, and Gakupo believed her. He cut off her hair, because then she would burn quicker with less hair, and tied her to the cross. Near the end of the song, Luka finally gains the strength to break free and flies back to Heaven. Gakupo sees her leave, and realizes she was not a witch, but an angel. So yeah, I don't think Miku was jealous at all. I think she was just looking out for Gakupo, since he was their PRINCE.

What I think is Luka was an angel who lived in the village, soon falling in love with Gakupo, prince of the land. Luka was enjoying life in the village, not really thinking of returning to heaven. One day, a priest for the village, Miku, sees Luka with Gakupo. At the time, He and Miku were together so she assumes Luka was a witch who had cursed Gakupo to fall in love with her. Miku tells Gakupo this and He believes her. Out of anger, Gakupo cuts of Luka’s hair when she went to say hi to him. Luka was shocked and confused why Gakupo would do this. She had little time to think as she was rendered unconscious by Miku. Luka awoke tied to a cross with the entire village gathered around her. She turns her head and see’s Miku and Gakupo, just hearing them shout something out of the Bible underneath the anger filled voices of the village. She immediately You kaknew what they were doing. Miku and Gakupo were trying to rid of her using spells to kill witches. Luka starts crying, sad that her friends and lover would turn on her so quickly like that. After a while of nothing happening, Miku and Gakupo start to wonder why nothing they’re doing is working. Luka, having enough of this, reveals she is an angel, not a witch by sprouting angel wings. She returns to heaven, dropping one of her feathers. Gakupo catches it and keeps it as a reminder of how stupid he was to believe Miku.

My theory: Miku-Priest/Actual Witch/Girl With green hair Luka- peasant Girl/Fake Witch/Angel/Girl with Pink hair I feel as if the 'young witch' we're actually talking about is Miku. "There lived a young witch in the land . She fell in love with a prince.". This can work with either of our females within this song. Miku, disguised herself for either this song or for most of her life as a noun/priest of sorts so she'd be seen as the opposite of a witch, which would explain why the prince believed her so easily. It also explains; "There was a witch in the land. She tricked a young prince. She hid her magic. " ect ect. This also explains why when Luka is seen with the prince the lyrics show; "No spell can achieve what I feel" ect. Because, she's not the witch, no magic, so she cannot cast a spell for this. Miku saw the Prince she loved love a simple peasant girl.Miku prayed hoping they'd be friends, or it was fake, or something would happen to the young girl, which it did not.So Miku took it into her own hands , last restort to killing the young girl via burning her at the stake, and labeled as a witch. Again why the lyrics; "You fed them dirty lies" arises since Miku had done this. When this happening the Prince soon realizes whats happening, yet it's too late. My ending (kinda B.S. and cheesey): when luka flew away Miku ran like hell, knowing there could be no punishment too severe for her betrayal of the prince and maiming an angel, but the prince was quicker, and grabbed her by her cowl, looked her in the eye, seeing fear as deep as the seas. The prince then grabbed her and tossed her onto the pyre where she screamed in agony, unable to escape as she could find no grip in the shifting wood fueling the fire. Meanwhile, the crowd looked at the pyre and the skies in horror, sure that God would bring a swift retribution for these acts. Soon they dispersed in fear, and the prince walked back to the castle in tears, naming himself a fool for being tricked so easily, and not realizing the true natures of the women. Later that night the prince heard wings flapping, and looked up from his notes (don't ask) and towards his window, to find a jet-black feather, too big for any bird on the windowsill... Some years passed and the prince was looking for a bride as to receive his father's throne. And as he walked through the streets, he heard a familiar voice, it sounded so much like the woman he had been tricked into betraying, that he couldn't believe his ears. He whirled around and saw her, barely different, but now instead of long, deep Carmel-colored hair, it was streaked with black lines, and she said in a voice like soft, sweet music, "well, are you going to greet me or not?" And they embraced and kissed right there for the first time in years. They later courted, married, and ruled happily together until the prince, now an old and beloved king, passed away one night in his bed asleep, next to the woman he loved so much. *THE END*

so what I'm getting from this is that Miku accuses Luka of being a witch due to jealousy. But is not a witch herself. Luka IS a witch, but the truth is is that witches are fallen angels. Miku probably didn't think Luka was really a witch but used that to take the prince away from her. Luka is burned at the stake, not using her powers because she wanted to live normally and if she showed her power she really would be a witch. In the end, she chooses to use her powers and escape the cruel humanity that she was probably put in charge of watching over as an angel. more on why Luka is a witch and an angel: I think this because witches in actual history were working on medicines and potions that can heal or cure. literally early drugs. angels are god's followers that possess abilities to heal and guide (maybe she approached the prince to guide him in ruling humanity well). so if Luka is a fallen angel, she might have lost that divine ability but have healing knowledge from god still. so I think Luka is a 'fallen' angel that humanity labelled as a witch. this is my theory. also, i think luka really did love the prince tho. like she may have approached him with the intent to guide him in ruling humanity but then came to love him as time went on.

My theory: Luka isn't truly a witch, but still not mortal. Possibly an angel of some sort. Miku is most likely a very well-respected villager that is deeply into religion. And then of course, Gakupo is a prince. Luka and Gakupo truly fall in love, no spells or curses needed, but Miku can't stand to see them together, because she wants to be with him. She accuses Luka of being a witch, not knowing if she is or not; Just trying to separate her and Gakupo. Since she's so well respected with her religious beliefs and what not, she's very convincing. She demands to put a stop to Luka witchcraft by burning her at the stake and chanting religious-related words to be rid of her and her "sins." Gakupo is obviously devastated that the women he loves may be a witch, and may have put him under some sort of spell or may have been using him, so he agrees to burning her at the stake. However, he still loves her very deeply, so he cut off her hair to be sure that she wouldn't look the same as before; To look like the women he loved. It made it easier for him to watch, imagining that it wasn't her because of the hair difference. Luka is in so much despair, wondering why her lover could agree to this. At first, she screamed and cursed all of those chanting for the flames to consume her, but then, she grew weak, and aware that they wouldn't stop. The thought of Gakupo allowing this made her even weaker, so she accepted death. She uses every last ounce of strength in her to sprout her wings, revealing what she truly was. She at least wanted Gakupo to know the truth before potentially dying. But then her wings seem to being to control themselves, which caused her to fly away, never to see her lover again. Miku is shocked, she didn't truly think Luka was anything except a mortal. The villagers were blindly leading behind Miku's claim of Luka being a witch, so they weren't as surprised. And Gakupo... Well, he went on with life, always wondering if she would return.

I think this video could have been better if it was revealed that Miku was the actual witch, a nun of kept all her magic out of sight, and who framed and burned an innocent girl alive because of her jealousy. Virtue turned to vice. There was indeed a witch in the land who fell in love with the prince, just not the girl that was burned. She was a nun, so no spell could achieve the love which she sought, so she tricked a young prince into believing his love was a witch. In the end, she could return to her church or clergy, which would then mysteriously burn down with her trapped inside. "Penitence for your crime! Penitence and your life!" Divine retribution kind of thing. Since she was a nun, it would make sense for her to be praying, but no God would bother to help her, as the weight of the girl's death and her lies would be on her. This actual video is neat, but left me confused, which I realize is part of the point, but...eh.

You can't have a witch close to the church or part of the it. She's the true witch by heart but not the actual witch. In my opinion, Luka was actually a fallen angel that betrayed God since angels can't fall in love with humans. She must've been sent to do a mission but fell in love with Gakupo. I think the song is about a witch who fell in love with a guy. The first part of the song is her side of the story. my personal theory- miku is the witch, obviously-the beginning (when len is singing), it’s meant to lead the viewer into thinking of miku’s own point of view; luka being the witch, and inherently, her being evil. luka is a human girl, the appearance of angel wings signifying her death (gakupo is surprised to see her die in the end). luka dies due to miku’s own desires involving the prince, leading him to burning her at a stake. he has her hair because they believed that a witch’s power came from her hair, and cutting it would save them. in reality, luka was a human girl, and miku’s own desire caused the tragedy to occur.

My POV: Luka is a witch, but not a bad witch. A good witch. She falls in love with a young prince, Gakupo, as does he fall in love with her. Miku, a priestess, saw Luka and realized that she is the witch they've been hunting. She tells Gakupo this, which leads to them cutting Luka's hair off and tying her to the stakes. Gakupo was upset, thinking that Luka tricked her, and assisted Miku in the process of chanting some bible-shit or whatever to kill Luka. Luka cried, knowing that everybody was blinded by the hate for bad witches, and did not want to fight back. The chanting, however, was doing too much effect and Luka was close to dying. Wanting to survive, she relieved her "true self" (her "witch" self) and flew away, never to return to the town, nor Gakupo.

I can’t help but wonder if this song is connected the “The story of evil”. The lady in red here fell in love with a prince of purple. A maiden in green loved him. What if the story is actually quite different than we actually thought? I've never heard this theory before: There was once a young wizard(Gakupo) deceiving a village as a young prince. Enraged by the thought of the dark wizard doing such a thing, a young Angel (Luka) was sent to fight against him. However, the Angel and the Wizard quickly fell in love - however, the priestess (Miku) whom had known of Luka's job was astonished that the Angel would disobey her Gob, and so, she decides that only one thing must be done; the Angel must be killed before she can turn into a Witch, and Miku asks God for forgiveness for what she may do. The Wizard, however, is unwilling, but wanting, to reveal his cover. In the end, the Angel returns to Heaven, now tainted by the Wizard, whom realizes that he truly loves her.

I actually think miku is the witch because at 1:48 they sing about a young witch who tricked the prince. So I think the witch is miku disguised as a nun, and she tricked the prince into think luka was the real witch! So that could explain that part of the song.
