Come with us to GMS Racing in Uniontown, Pa., home of the world’s quickest and fastest street tire Harley Davidson motorcycles as owner Gregg Dahl takes us behind closed doors to uncover what it really takes to make a Harley Davidson Bagger or street bike run a 7-second elapsed time on the drag strip. From the proprietary GMS cylinder head, to the sophisticated fuel management system to the constant testing, development and maintenance, Dahl tells all in this look behind the curtain at one of the world’s quickest and fastest Harley Davidson machine shops. Enjoy and share.

Do the math! Horsepower is what give you speed and the formula for HP, is torque times RPM divided by 5252 ! Torque without RPMs is useless! That is why Harleys are always getting their asses kicked on the highway!

The challenge for us is utilization of the 45 degree pushrod Harley platform. The overhead cams in the Rod allow the high RPMs. I have friends that have done great things with the Rod but we prefer the traditional Vtwin
