World's first BMW G80 M3 Manual Valvetronic Mid-Pipe Review and Dyno! Sound Clips and WHP revealed!

Hey KZbin fam! As previewed on my @G80_Soom insta, here's the full video review and dyno numbers reveal of the Valvetronic Mid-Pipe. Video includes underbody shots/explanation, dyno, exterior and interior sound clips. I've had it installed for about a month now and absolutely love it! It was a big hit at MPact this past weekend!

This mid pipe looks a little different at the engine side vs the other pics I’ve seen on other cars with this set up. Is this an older model?

So I did some digging around... I noticed how your car sounds different than pretty much all of the other valvetronic cars. I realized they changed thier midpipe design. Your car has the inboard section of the midpipe making a larger bend to the shorter inboard downpipe making it lengths of the two downpipes more symmetrical. Thus leading towards a true equal length exhaust. On thier current production line you can see that the pidpipe on both connections to the downpipe looks straight. Did you modify this yourself or was this how the midpipe was originally? It sounds amazing and similar to my f80 with an el exhaust.

This was when my setup was only the mid-pipe and it's from their first batch. No modifications were done to it until I went catless dp after. In this video everything is stock, just the mid-pipe. As far as I know their newer design now has a flex pipe so it can fit most aftermarket DPs and comes polished. Other than that, it's the same.

Hey two questions. Does this require any cutting at all? And does this remove any cats off the car?

Yes, he shows where he cuts in the rear section. Primary cats still there. Secondary cats and resonators removed.

Midpipe would be best install for G80 IMO. No check engine light and can easily be installed without a major hassle or easily removed before lease return🤪🤪🤪 I’m very interested especially if this fits the xDrive models, just have to compare price with PSI Midpipe and I’ll order as soon as my G80 arrives from Munich

@@CorbinWilliams Yup, correct. The PSI one was my other option. It was a very close decision but Valvetronic has always been my favorite exhaust company so I trusted theirs would be a little more pleasing. Price wise they are similar. Both in the $1600-$1800 range. VT is a single 3.5 inch setup which gives it that pure inline 6 sound as well as save a little bit of weight. PSI one retains the dual setup which sounds good too. Can't go wrong with either but VT has the cleaner sound imo.

@@fastanfun yea that’s not it lol Cars with lightweight flywheel spin up much faster Unfortunately this motor just doesn’t rev that quickly due to many other reasons!
