Excellent work! :D I find it really interesting that the first 2x2s (from Rubik's brand anyway) were a new design for the core and connections... then fast forward a bunch of years, and the standard 2x2 design is "just use a 3x3 mechanism and hide the edges. It's such a simple solution in hindsight!

I can't wait for 3D printing to become cheap, quick, and affordable for the every-day consumer. It's still an expensive, niche, luxury item that people are saying that "Everyone is going to have and be doing soon". I can't wait for that day. We seem to still be in the very beginning of this, where home 3D printing is pretty much just an expensive hobby at this point.
@NAT0P0TAT06 жыл бұрын
Nice video, it's cool how smoothly it seems to turn despite using one of those large 3x3s as a core. All through the video I kept getting reminded of when I was making a 2x2 build of my 4D portal cube ( gamejolt.com/games/rubiksportalcube/325536 ), literally just took the 3x3 build, turned the faces and edges invisible and enlarged the corners, leaving the entire 3x3 mechanism in place, saved me a ton of time in programming.
