That video was top tier. I have a new found respect for Aston Martin and what they do with continuation series and restoring these cars. The skills that are passed down from generation to next. The way staff stay there. The work they do and their skills. Its awesome. Thanks for this.

True. It's the same with McLaren n Bugatti too. It's just a shame that despite that much of a clinical level of effort the McLarens still struggle with build quality issues. The only way to get a bit more quality is to take the MSO route cos more attention is given though at a substantially higher cost.

@@rahulsudhir666 McLaren must not have the history of people like bugatti and Aston Martin. You can tell generations have been at both bugatti and Aston Martin! It is truly amazing!
@rahulsudhir666
@rahulsudhir666 11 ай бұрын
@@chrislong7351 They truly do have a history from way back in the day but the problem is quality control. They got too intertwined with pushing out more models n special editions instead of focusing on a better final product. It was especially bad with the 720S n 650S. It has supposedly gotten much better with the 765LTs though.

It's amazing to see that Aston Martin are still hand crafting vehicles and passing it on to the up coming generations. Having worked as a Auto Tech in the past, I have a huge appreciation for those of Aston's tier of craftsmanship and dedication to the details. Thanks to this, I now want an Estate Coupe - personally have a love for wagons/estates.

I'm a ex aerospace engineer and the skill it takes to wheel aluminium is massive We had some god level wheelers at Brough site in east Yorkshire where we was know best for producing the hawk trainer jet ( red arrows jet) Unfortunately many of those type of uber skilled jobs have been lost to technology and outsourcing to third world countries. It's great to see aston still passing the knowledge of down the generation line ❤️

Amazing video James & team! A treat to get such an indepth look behind the scenes like this. I love what Aston Martin is doing and I truly believe this is the future of the automotive industry. Restorations and continuations. We can’t just keep pumping out new cars every year. Where does the old cars go? Yes modern cars, modern technology, but at some point we’ll just be reinventing the wheel. New doesn’t always mean better. I love how restomods and true restorations are becoming so mainstream. Easier on the planet, and we get to enjoy the art of the past that much longer. Curious to see if it becomes affordable for the man in the street long term though.

Videos like this and walkthroughs talking with a or multiple higher ups really helps people gain much more respect for brands like this. Most of them are closed off so you're gauging and assuming solely based on their finished product of something at a dealership or seeing it online. But seeing all of this really helps you appreciate how dedicated the team(s) are with the process up until the product rolls out of the building ultimately across the world or across the yard. Bravo.

No denying how amazing these guys are with access to some of the fantastic tools they have. Kind of makes what the guys achieve at Yorkshire car restoration all the more incredible. The amazing quality & standards they achieve on such a wide variety of car re manufacturing panels themselves by hand on vintage and modern cars absolutely astonished me. All these guys are sadly becoming less and less and one day the skills will sadly be lost.

I simply love Aston Martin. Love my V8 Vantage , yet the quintessentialy English way of doing things shines through, even on my car. Mine being a very late 2009 registered 4.3 engined car with the Mk1 version ski slope dash but I know it has Mk2 dash electronics behind it. Wonderful cars with heeps of character. I would truly love to have my car rebuilt by Aston works.... One day maybe.

But I think he meant that I would be as absolutely in love with the machinery, and trying to describe it as much in detail (not that I could come anywhere close to you when it comes to proficiency in the English language 😉🤣) Just want to say...
