2 weeks after I turned 17 I joined the Army. I spent a career in the infantry, from private to field grade officer. I met many good men. Men I will never forget. Men I am proud to say I walked amongst. Many left their family and friends too soon, lost in service, lost in war and peace. I have faced their loved ones, visited their places of rest, and paid my respects. They are the lucky ones for they shall not grow old, they shall remain forever young. The book of life goes on and on, but the people inside it get lost throughout time. It's men like you who renew their story and take the burden of carrying on their legacy. Even just sharing a simple comment like this, means a lot more than you'd probably realize. Makes the people who see it feel the love you had for them. Makes them get sentimental and in doing so, sometimes makes them hold on to the things they love themselves just a bit longer. Cherishing them until they can't anymore. Ah maybe I'm just getting too emotional but still, it's like a fire that slowly dies, and it's up to the people passing by to add a stick. One person might not make such a big difference but if enough people come along and put a stick in it'll burn brighter and longer. I'm not good with words but the point stands, humans connect themselves even to the people who's life is so much different than theirs. Through at least one feeling, emotion, that we all get. Am I the only one who still listens to this? If i ever coudl control what my life's soundtrack could be this would be one of them! Music speaks to us through us and around us. Epic music does this but it speaks to our souls (all those who are willing to take the moment to feel it linger in your hearing presence). I am a person who listens to music and gets emotional or goosebumps when a song sings/speaks to me as if trying to relay a message to me. I know its weird I've been called out on it that its the dumbest thins and that music is music, but its the ones like these that give me inspiration to be epic, to be heroic. It was a rainy day, I was returning from work, on the sidewalk it was just me and a old man which was barely walking with the help of a wooden stick. At one moment he fell down and could stand no longer. My parents gaved me a good education soo I did the right thing, and went to help him. We walked a little longer to his house and he thanked me. This is just a little something I did some while ago. Altrought it was not much, it made me fell very good about myself. A hero lives în everyone of us, and anyone can become one by doing the right thing, no matter how small it îs. Thank you very much for the music, somehow it made me remember that day. :)

The fatal flaw of all heroes is their devotion.
