The exact same thing happened to me 😭 about the post in the thumbnail. My dad and stepmother who were threatening to divorce at the time (they have been saying they're going to do it, then not going to do it for over 3 years) said it is MY fault (I was 16 at the time) for their divorce because I 'kept creating problems' such as forgetting to make my bed or took a nap even though I was studying so hard during that time. Just one of the thousands of things they did to make me feel like shit.

I am so pisses with these parents, I've got a story too. This isn't my dad that did this but it was my 8 year old brother's dad and he makes my brother feel bad about himself, whenever were in an argument and I hit him because he makes fun of me or tries to hit me or tell him to shut up or something, he starts to cry because his abusive dad hits my brother and makes fun of him too, also when people are meaning to help my brother like once on this swing, these two boys were helping push my brother with my mum but he thought that they were stopping him so he tried to kick them, presumably because of his dad. My mum told me that his dad used to trip me up whenever I walked in front of him and said to leave me crying but with my brother when he gets hurt or starts crying, his dad tells him to stop being a cry baby and sends him to his room my mum also told me that when I was around 4 years old my brother's dad went to work for 6 months when he actually went to prison for speeding and trying to escape the police, we haven't told my brother yet, his dad also took my mum's stuff without permission and broke it but the good news is that my mother left him around 6 years ago and we are going to go to court and get custody over my brother so he doesn't have to see his dad again.

This is something that happened to a friend of mine. I had a friend who was born into a religious household, and wasn’t allowed to like any interests that her parents weren’t into. She originally was homophobic, but she’s cool now. Her parents are anti vaxx now so I haven’t seen her in years, we’ve only called. Her mom grounded her and called her the devils child because she looked up how to lucid dream. Apparently it was too dark for god. Her mom tried to threaten me to stop being friends with her because I liked Pokémon. And apparently that was too satanic. Her parents genuinely don’t care about her. And a little trigger warning but I feel as if she is on the verge of self harm or suicide. They don’t care about her mental health, they only want her to be a child of god. She can’t have interests, and if she dare likes a game or show, her parents would punish her. This isn’t really a haha that’s crazy story, it’s just showing how much toxic parents can influence a child’s well being. I’m worried she is going to commit suicide. She’s lost so many friends due to her mom and father threatening them for being “anti christ”. I wish I could do something, but she gets grounded every 2 weeks for breathing.

Mother once called me transgender just because I drew girls with crop tops and pants. Over the years she checks our phones everytime we talk back Literally swears in every sentence but if she hears us accidentally slip one up she kills us. Because of the Coronavirus, my dad and I are the only ones working. She said my entire paycheck is going to the bills and I still need to pay her gas money. Im not sure how working a minimum wage job for 7 days a week is going to suddenly pay off the entire mortgage. Believes that vitamins will save us from dying and she takes 20 different things a day and tried to make us take shit but we just throw it away when shes not looking. Yes the entire two story house (dusting, pledge, windows, vacuuming, mopping) Ive tried to donate clothes but she refuses to let me do so even if they are 7 years old and a size S in childrens. Since middle school she calls me pineapple face because of extreme acne I had and literally made me put makeup in everyday to school since 5th grade. Now in high School I no longer have that much acne but im used to putting on makeup (very light) and she says im wasting my money on makeup when it could be given to her. She shifts from calling me obese to anorexic... pick one whore. Doctor says im very average as im 5’5”, 125 lbs and latino (rice and beans are gonna go to the thighs anyways)

My mum goes through my phone all the time. It's horrible. She doesn't realise that she's fueling the reason she has to look through it. (Reasons include: history of bad mental health, self harm, suicidal thoughts+attempts, sAyiNg sWeaRs OnliNe, etc.)
