Seem Tim's review on this where the tool can often go into some type of heat protection: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWfUnmmGqpmWmNU A lot of what we consider to be at the top can be found here: www.amazon.com/shop/torquetestchannel Always consider multiple sources and reviews for tools. We often show the power or torque a tool can make, and when they fail for us. But there's always more to any tool than what we can show.

I think its time to design an endurance test. Like test it off and on at 50% its rated torque until it dies. Or maybe just let it run with good high cooling. I am sure it would take a while and you would have to bypass the battery
@TorqueTestChannel
@TorqueTestChannel Жыл бұрын
@@MichaelMantion The problem with endurance tests, and many creators have tried one form or another, is you have to design a test with so many differences to real life (back to back runs, bypassing the battery with a power supply, tool always used hot, grease thinning and weeping out, well made tools will shut themselves down rather than break themselves while cheaply designed tools will keep going which on the surface looks stronger) that by the time you've figured out a way to set it up in order to not just get a bunch of noise but actual results of tools failing... literally everyone disregards the results because it looks so Frankenstein and not representative of how anyone uses the tool. Which I wouldn't blame them. There's no replacement for just good old fashioned using a tool on a job. This is why brands from Milwaukee to DeWalt, Astro to Ingersoll Rand depend on field testers.

I bought the Uauioo and it’s been awesome so far. It doesn’t get used daily but I have used a few times doing rotations and also assemble my beadlocks. That’s 96 bolts but each bolt gets hit at least 4 times with the impact. It’s been solid so far. I realize the warranty won’t be the same if something does go wrong with it. Makita has been kind to me in the past when taking items to their factory repair center. They have repaired drills outside of the warranty period for me. They have great service. I just couldn’t see spending the extra money on their XGT impact since it wouldn’t get used all that much.

I wonder if adding a Super-Cap(acitor) or two, to the battery packs, could help with the out-of-the-gate power output?? 🤔 Although, now that I look... they might need to be configured as 1 cap per cell, since finding high-Farad ones in high-Voltage, is a bit of an ask... _(rule of thumb being, twice the rated voltage for the application; 24V battery, a 50V cap)_

It's female square drive, no real way to test it on our bolt, and even if we came up with something it'd be using an adapter which is sort of against channel rules because tests with adapters suck :P

I still haven't found anything that the DCF900 can't destroy with basically any battery you stick on it, but it sure earns the Bruiser 2 code name. The market for air impacts must be collapsing. Like, maybe if you have to take every plate off of an excavator track you need one, but you're starting to see a lot of cordless impacts even in heavy equipment work.

I bought one last week to get off a brake caliper bolt I couldn't get any leverage with the breaker bar on, it took it off like it was finger tight and made the rest of the job, 2 more new sets of rotors and calipers, infinitely easier. Almost went with the 923 (it was gonna be a DeWalt because I'm in that battery ecosystem), but the 891 was more beans and a little less money. Think I made the right choice despite being target fixated on just getting an impact to remove this fing bolt and not doing any research.

One of these days I hope you add a category for WARRANTY! Seriously some of the stuff you test has no warranty and some lifetime. If they are close in the rest of the test warranty may make a big difference. For example if a 4 year old Makita impact needs electronics it gets thrown away verses a Ridgid with a life time warranty that's either fixed or a new one for free!

@cpzmelbs Жыл бұрын
Nah just extra clutter imo. It typically gets mentioned in the videos anyway. Warranty is also something you should look into before purchasing as it’s subject to change and varies depending on your location. A major variable to add regarding warranties is the fact a lot of these tools aren’t even readily available to most of the world, and with no brick and mortar store to assist with any issues

I have both, Metabo doesn’t like rain and doesn’t come with a larger hanging hook. Xgt I can use in wet weather and has a large hanging hook. You seem to leave the specs out I mentioned in your videos and ranking chart. Also Metabo batteries don’t like getting wet

I'd take my kobalts over about anything else. They make plenty of power and you could get smaller batteries for 10 bucks at lowes. Plus being able to take the tools back to lowes 3-5 years later and have them replaced is super nice.

Any chance to get the european LIDL and ALDI Brand Parkside and Ferrex Impacts onto the TTC? Parkside/LIDL has both a "mid torque" PASSK 20-Li B2 with 400NM for 47€ excluding the battery and a high torque PASSP 20-Li A3 1339NM for 139€ with the Highpower App controlled 8Ah being 77,90€ or a small 4Ah 20V Block being 24,99. Both without the additional cahrger for sub 10€. ALDI also has interesting products, but the Ferrex brand is sadly only promotion items that you cant get seperately in their online shop. They however boast a "flexvolt" 20V/40V System.

I actually have the Uaoaii brushless 1/2" impact that claims 420ft-tq. It's very compact and works well but 420? More like 200 at best. I wonder if those numbers are with a genuine makita battery. Other than that I haven't had any problems with it. I just ordered a battery adapter for it to try with my craftsman batteries. We'll see. I got the thing on sale for like $70 with battery and accessory.

Looking for a subcompact to remove caliper bolts from benz to super duty trucks. Not sure what I'm looking for. 1/2 drive subcompact to access lower bolts . I'm in the ridgid line but have no loyalty just need tool that meets the job. Yes retired so budget is a factor to some extent. Thanks.

Bought dcf 900 but decided to go with the 891 as no longer professional mechanic. The 891 is good size and strength. Worst case, i can break out the 1-inch air gun. These battery tools are convenient. Thanks, torque test!

This channel is amazing! Been a Makita guy for years and was just about to pull the trigger on a Milwaukee m18 Gen2 1/2" Impact until I saw this testing video showing how Makita batteries bump up the no-name brand big time. I have a ton of Makita 5.0ah batteries so the amazon no-name is one I've gotta buy and try. Thanks for the info! Subscribed for sure.

Out of curiosity about how long have the Seesii models been being used daily so far?

Good question. The WH710 for almost a year, though another model using the same batteries its battery has since stopped charging. The newer CP1B002 "Gen 3" for only about a month and half as it's new.

I have the DeWalt atomic, the 891 and the 900 and find myself almost not using the 891 because the atomic gives the most feel (mainly m6, m8 & m10 Hardware). The 891 only comes out when shit is rusty AF or I need stuff to never come loose ever again. The 900 is used a lot for Centre lock bolts on the racecars and is an absolute beast with weirdly enough quite a bit of feel to how tight you torque stuff up

I mean, if you're looking for a reason to buy a German-made Metabo, it would be interesting to see how well it holds up to its Chinese-made counterpart. Though, my bet would be there is no measurable difference. No serious tool manufacturer is going to just slap their name on the side of whatever they find. That Uaoaii is a pleasant surprise though.
