Am I the only one to whom the "explanation" of why those two fought didn't make any more sense than the fight itself? o.O
@xtreme3minutevideos8873 жыл бұрын
Yes, I understand only people familiar with drag racing would know what a "Deep Stage" is. So when the cars are moving in to the start line there are 2 orange lights per lane at the top of the tree. The front wheels pass through a light beam and the top orange light comes on. It is not a rule but it is a courtesy to stop when you trigger the first orange staging light and wait for the other driver to also get into position. When both cars have triggered the first light the drivers are prepared, either driver can then creep forward into the second orange light and final position and the other driver only has a few seconds to do the same because the green light comes on quickly after. So here the driver of the blue car drives straight through the first orange into final position and triggers the green light catching the other driver off guard and getting the jump on him. It is not illegal but not the right thing to do. It can however sometimes be done accidentally especially if the clutch is not set up right. Hope this explains it OK, cheers. BTW "spits the dummy" is a saying we have downunder for throwing a temper tantrum. Just like when a baby spits the dummy out of the crib. (dummy = binky = pacifier)

@@xtreme3minutevideos887 While i understand, these "rules" just seem wierd
@hetspookjee3 жыл бұрын
That just sounds unnecessarily complicated. Why not just encode this? This is about racing, getting the absolute edge above and beyond anything to win. And here they're making silly "courtesy" requests. You're racing 10000 bhp monsters, this is no junior level stuff anymore. There's a clear incentive to make use of situation just to get the upper edge. But then again, racing is also a conservative sport and not made by lawmakers. Thanks for the explanation!
@sadkingbilly3 жыл бұрын
Xtreme 3 minute Videos thank you for the explanation! It makes sense now, but it’s weird this is a “courtesy”, not a rule. After all, this is not a Sunday afternoon hobby but serious business with serious money and danger involved.
@biffaozzie23733 жыл бұрын
Xtreme 3 minute Videos Thats the craziest thing I've heard. I would just drive straight through and trigger the green while the other guy is putting on his helmet (exaggeration, but you get my point). If it's not illegal, why not? What's wrong with just having the lights on a timer?
