Heck yeah! The more people I see enjoying the stuff the happier I get! one of the most incredible things to experience in person especially near the finish line or on the starting line! When I got to work on them, the workload is definitely next level as opposed to working on injected Nitro dragsters or alcohol funny cars and so on. Which gave me the ability to expose even more people to this sport in general and in person, it's incredible seeing something go that fast and it's incredible seeing something you worked on go that fast :-) So thanks for posting such a great video :-)

Yeah not many drag strips or races have any exebition shows any more ! When I was a young kid I remember going to the drag strips & seeing the Little Red Wagon & the Hemi under glass Plymouth Barracuda doing those 1/4 wheelies & also seeing the jet cars like the Green Mamba racing against the nitro sling shot dragsters back then . I think the reason now is back in the day there were a lot of bad accidents with those cars some that killed people or hurting the drivers so it kind of got banned because of the high risk of something happening at the smaller tracks that couldn't afford the insurance for those to run so you don't see it nearly as much now as back then when rules weren't as strict .

The engine is torn down and rebuilt after every run. Many of the engine components are replaced (pistons, connecting rods, valve train components, etc.), with the crankshaft being replaced after 4 to 6 runs. Needless to say it is very expensive to operate one of these nitro cars.

@xtreme3minutevideos8873 жыл бұрын
Hi, Top Fuel engines run on nitro methane which is a man made organic fuel. It is extremely explosive, it is liquid dynamite. That is why the engines produce so much power but the average life of the engine is just a few seconds.

No, rocket cars in the '80s were faster, not sure if they still run them. 3,2 seconds at 650 km/h. Human body can withstand a lot more Gs on the X axis than Z axis. 8 Gs vertical would make you pass out instantly, but people went over 40 Gs horizontally without any problems.

The source of the world pollution!
@xtreme3minutevideos8873 жыл бұрын
You are making more pollution than these cars. These cars run on nitro methane which is an organic compound. They only race once a month for a few seconds at a time. Billions of cars and diesel vehicles on the road every day is a trillion times more pollution than these. Do you or anyone in your family drive a car every day? Do you travel on airplanes, buses, trains? Do you buy goods from China? Do you get deliveries to your house? The biggest polluting sport in the world is actually golf. 1 million people every single day drive a car to the golf course. The smokey haze you can see in this video is from the 2019 California bush fires. These bush fires produce more pollution in 1 minute than 1 million years of motor racing.
