In this video we show you how to build simple front suspension on a go kart. This is our Zongshen 190cc 5 speed Cross Kart, aka the world's smallest cross kart, and yard kart destroyer. We wanted to build a vehicle to be the same general size as a simple yard go kart, but have full suspension, a powerful engine, and a 5 speed transmission.

I've noticed John and Issac have laid back on the humor. Earlier episodes they were a real Hoot! John had that hilarious laugh with Issac's cut up. Either way they are much more serious because its a full time job pitting this great content out constantly. Charles brought back that much needed humor and together the 3 are a sensational KZbin video riot. Absolutely love the show

Ike and John don't really have the same sense of humor. Charles knows how to talk crap in a joking way, like Ike does. Effectively. This smooths out a lot of err.. awkward. Not saying John don't have a sense of humor. Just not so skilled on the sh*t talkin'. ;-) For that he's a very technical boy and is the major reason we even get to see what them crazy 3 are up to.

A friendly tip for you fabrimacators 👨‍🏭 use cooking spray or anti spatter to keep the metal bb's from damaging your machined or finished surfaces like the ball in a heim joint. We use it all the time here at the steel mill to protect hydraulic rams or even threads 😁 im really stoked to see this bad lil rig shred! Good work 👏

Honda Odyssey style steering/throttle/brake setup would eliminate foot pedals with the clutch on the gear lever, more safety also to have wrist restraints maybe??? Would then just need some foot rests instead of the pedals, easier to brace yourself in the seat also, great job on the build so far its going to be a sweet ride.

Just an idea, use a handlebar for the steering, brakes & the throttle. It might solve the pedal fitment issues.
@g_compo8639
@g_compo8639 2 жыл бұрын
That would make it very hard for steering all it needs is brake peddle and a throttle pedal. Then hand shifter with clutch. If any crashes happen a steering wheel is far safer due to your legs wont be trapped under the handle bar and risk snapping a leg if you shift out the seat or risk them puncturing your body if the crumble from a roll over. Handle bars belong on bikes dude

@@Root_T sir if you can't see the things wrong maybe you should do some research as well, wrong angle, wrong placement, wrong springs, use the right springs and the right shocks mounted in the proper location would vastly improve the ride, and the durability of the shocks and springs.
@FarmerFpv
@FarmerFpv 2 жыл бұрын
@@thedr309 If you think you're going to get a plush ride with Go power sports fixed shocks you're in for a surprise. They have no rebound or compression adjustment on the upper or lower. Yes, I agree it will help with longevity having the correct angles and also help with the correct lax rebound unsprung and sprung sag but they will also need better shocks as well. You have to remember these guys are bush-hippie-engineers which is why i get a kick out of watching them, lol. All in all, it will work and still be fun. They will feel the back pain when they're in their 40s though, lol.

John,you could be making extra jack by using that plasma table to design and cut out bracketry for the subscribers at an honest cost foe their own builds... Most one off brackets or pair of brackets would cost a person well over 100bux from any welding/ fab shop and lots of subs cant afford that kind of money for a few brackets... You'd be doing folks a solid as well as helping yourself out if you simply doubled the materials costs,and your time to lay out and hit start and be saving people a chunk while helping them realize their goals and builds...

Man, I was on the fence about this build the 1st episode but I love where it’s going now. I really think you guys should consider a top A arm for the front suspension. I would also delete the live axle and do (my Terminology might be off) 2 trailing arms in the back. run 2 chains on each side for each rear wheel off that jack shaft. You know it would be sick if this little guy had independent suspension!!
@jamesmcgee9279
@jamesmcgee9279 2 жыл бұрын
The front and rear suspension has a unique design to it. My only concern is in the rear. The mid-chassis allows for the main chassis frame to drag below the mid to rear suspension frame. With a hard enough landing, you could do some serious damage to your lower back and the chassis. Alas, I hope it holds up.
