Panasonic launched their full TV line-up for 2024 including new OLED, Mini LED and LED LCD models. The flagship will be the Z95A OLED with MLA and META 2.0 for increased brightness along with the HCX Pro AI II processor. Next is the 77-inch Z93A with the same built-in Dolby Atmos sound system.
Further models include Z90A the World's smallest OLED TV with a built-in soundbar at 42-inch and 48-inch screen sizes. The Z90A will be available in 42, 48, 55 and 65-inch sizes, with the larger two options using Master OLED Pro technology. All models boast the same upgraded HCX Pro AI Processor MKII as those flagship models, along with Game Mode Extreme should you have a set-up that can make good use of its 144Hz refresh rates.
The Z85A will be available in 55 and 65-inch versions, with similar “advanced gaming features” topping out at 120Hz. It also sports that new HCX Pro AI Processor MKII with its associated perks including improved upscaling and noise reduction, with the new 4K Fine Remaster Engine designed to ensure that “every scene is displayed with the utmost precision and naturalism”, with a particular nod towards streaming content. The Z80A will be using an older HCX Processor, but will still come with all the trimmings of that Fire TV set-up and Panasonic’s own Premium TV offerings, and at a more budget-friendly price point.
Topping Panasonic’s LED line-up will be the W95A MiniLED, with 55, 65, and 75-inch models on the way. It echoes the Z90A in terms of the MKII processor and 144Hz refresh rates, along with the other top-tier features. The same applies to the W90A, which comes with Full Array LED backlighting for its 43, 50, 55, and 65-inch selection - with the same four sizes on offer for the W80A and W60A TVs. The W60A does look to mark something of an outlier with a TiVo operating system in place, as Panasonic’s line-up continues beyond those ‘high-end’ models that are part of the new Amazon/Fire TV partnership.
If you’re looking for something smaller (and cheaper) the S55/50 and S45/40 models will offer some 24, 32 and 40-inch options, with the former still boasting that Fire TV OS and the latter providing a second TiVo solution. You’ll also find a further 24 and 32-inch option courtesy of the N30, but that HD LED will be lacking the higher-end smart TV features.

Picture Quality & processing wise, yes, Panasonic are up there with Sony. One could even argue Panasonic edge's Sony. And i am sure with the new processing, gaming too will look the best on the market, even if the tv only comes with 2 hdmi 2.1's, annoyingly. Problem however are the insane prices, especially in Europe. $4000 for an 65 in tv, in 2024?!? You can buy an good quality soundbar like beam2 or something for around $500, which is more effective than the build in soundbar these tv's come with. Panasonic could get away with these high prices back in the plasma days when they ruled as kings. Now they have almost become a niche tv brand. Dont know how long they are gonna keep the ship afloat.

It’ll be interesting to see what the improvements to the new mini LED will be over last year’s. He mentioned the introduction of the quantum dot layer but last year’s mini LED already had a quantum dot layer so that seemed to be a bit of an oversight by the Panasonic rep. I wonder if it’ll have more dimming zones or if the only upgrade will be the new processor?

My current TV is a Panasonic. My next TV won’t be a Panasonic if they do not have a version without the built-in soundbar. Hopefully they see sense and offer versions of their best TVs without the soundbars for those who do not require them.

Surely you could still plug your TV to an external sound system? Missing the inbuilt soundbar a good backup

@@SherwiinatorI do not need it. I do not want to see it and I refuse to pay for it. So, unfortunately, unless Panasonic market an option that does not have this (for me, perhaps not you) useless appendage then they have lost a sale. Fingers crossed that someone at the company sees sense at some point.

Panasonic tv made a big mistake leaving Australia , I would be placing my Sony A95K with a Panasonic flagship model. Still my Sony A95K is stunning.

Pretty similar, now Panasonic has same SOC ( chip ) as the A95L , their graduation and black handling will catch up. graduation slightly behind Sony , black handling in from of Sony ( I suspect ). Then it's just whose flavour you like. I think Panasonic is a little more purist natural, but many like Sony's processing which can be slight more stronger, can't go wrong with either. Do think Panasonic take time to get things more right . ie Sony still has some issues on it's latest . Probably ease of use, the HDR of all flavours work in most modes etc

I hate how Panasonic fails to sell to America. I would likely buy and I know many Americans would buy, and even buy stock in Panasonic. Get it together like you do the TVs and sell to America.

Still only 2 hdmi 2.1 ports, 1 of them eARC. C’mon guys it’s 2024

That’s not going to change until they change the SOC that they use - it’s the same for most other brands, unless they design their own HDMI circuitry.
