NATE! You need to get the "Strix McTwist" from RMRC or Buddy Rc. The most fun i have ever had for 120 dollars! Its super easy to build just take a few hours but it is so worth every second of it! The smile you will have on your face will be like the first time you solo your rc plane. I dont get very excited much anymore cause i own practically everything and have flown everything out there. The McTwist gave me that love back! You need to try one! It cures everything once airborne. 😂

For anyone wondering, you CAN NOT use this radio with other Horizon products! It uses the SLT protocol, not DSMX or DSM2. It will only work with the revolution 90, Apprentice STOL, and UMX Slow Ultra Stick.

@@TheRcSaylors He is 16. I did get him the yellow Blade 70s you mentioned during Covid but had issues and wouldn’t operate correctly. Bad board or something. Horizon sent me parts and it still didn’t fix it. It flew a few times

Kinda like the MSRX from about a decade ago. I had 3 of those. Fixed pitch helis (tiny ones) are fun to fly, but the larger ones lack the ability to punch out of a rapid drop. They can also teach bad habits for crash response, where the pilot learns to just cut the throttle on a fixed pitch, but with collective pitch that is a sure fire way to cause damage. Nice to see the throttle cut on the radio though, that was lacking with the MSRX. Does this one have the linear servos? Brushed motors?

Cool!! I'd trade the RTF model for a brushless (Or maybe even direct drive?) BNF model in a heartbeat! But I have a feeling I'll need one of these anyway as I already have the bigger one too. ;) NATE! 2:35 I thought I properly scolded you about taking guesses as to switch positions and such! You shoulda known if you were in altitude hold or not ya goofball. ;) I DO like the altitude hold and the flight sim features. I'm guessing I could bind this to my NX-8 iffin' I wannada. Very very cool!

You know, the altitude hold honestly threw me off a little on this helicopter. It doesn’t work quite like a drones altitude hold, but more along the lines of “dumbing down” the throttle. Hey, you heard my true first impressions of trying to figure it out as I go. These moments are why we share our true maiden, not something buttery smooth so most people sort of know what to look for too! Follow up flights are where we try to have all those little things figured out a bit more. Hope this helps at least understand where we are coming from! 👍💯⚓️
