We took the weirdest hockey sticks on the market today and took them to the test on a synthetic ice rink.

Wish we had ice to use but this is a beautiful synthetic rink! Keep in mind you definitely shoot harder on ice compared to synthetic but this test should give you an idea of whether or not there's a noticeable difference between the sticks.

Great vid! We were doing this on our livestream and I was surprised how much of a difference there was between the wood stick and composite. I was thinking it would be a good idea for a full YT video. Loved the floorball shots too :)

If you noticed though the gap between the bigger guy and the smaller guy was much larger with a wood stick. The better the tech the more it has to do with mechanics. The wood stick requires much bigger stronger dudes. If you gave the 90s guys the great tech in their prime it would only add 3-5mph on the Slapshots.

Did he mean RICK NASH ??? Cause all the years he was on tbe NY RANGERS i saw him only take one slap shot and it went like 10 feet wide but hit Yandle in deep and deflected off his skate and and Scored a Goal.... lol But RICK NASH had NO SLAP SHOT at all with no power and you would think a guy his size at 6'4" 220 pounds would have a decent shot ....... i remember they put him in tve Hardest Shot Competition at thee ALL STAR GAME when he was still plqying for CBJ .... IT WAS A JOKE .... IT WAS SOMEWERE IN THE 70'S MPH ...LOL. !

There used to be an old Gretzky-lie wooden stick in our town’s pro-shop that had a curve in the shaft so that you could pick it up more easily from the ground!

Thanks PAV! I got the TOVI Mirage. Nice stick but honestly it hasn’t made me into Shea Weber shooter! The holes are just a gimmick! It wasn’t that expensive and it’s still a cool stick. But seems like curve and flex 💪 make the biggest difference...the evidence shown with the Forsberg stick!

Yo barber, back in March I was fooling around in practice and I took a snapshot with my Bauer Nexus ADV. My p28, SR 77 flex, $400 righty stick snaps right in the middle of my right hand. Pav I was so lucky not gonna lie. I broke it on my 37th day of owner ship and Bauer was nice mouth to grant me a 7 day extension. Shame I forgot to ask for an 87 flex replacement. Edit: it’s my secondary because I’m scared that I’ll snap the replacement

Yeah that's definitely a message I try and get across to people. I think another key message is to not look at individual things within the sticks but all around which one you feel comfortable with the most in terms of stickhandling, passing, shooting etc.
