40years later, and it's interesting to look back on those days. The Windies were virtually unbeatable, and the Australians really had their hands full just trying to make a game of it. Of course, the wheels finally turned, tho it truly is sad that the Windies have declined so markedly, particularly in red ball cricket. Thanks for the upload 😁👍

It says it all when they couldn't play Garner and the attack wasn't really lacking much! And the WI batting order wasn't too shabby either

Thanks for the upload mate. Geez I miss those days. A bit in it for both bat and ball. A real genuine contest. Can't get my head around the modern game and 350 plus being a normal score.

I watched every cricket game since I can remember. I was 7 years old and remember this game. Awesome memories as a kid. Still my favourite sport.

Enjoyed Bill Lawry and Keith Stackpole (both Victorians, and i'm pretty sure Stackpole coached him as a junior player) make several excuses for why a very young Dean Jones dropped a couple of catches. 😀

Watching these matches of WI in the 80s I am convinced that Australia during 1999 - 2009 was a superior side than them. They would beat them regardless of which era the matches were played in.

Kim Hughes was run out easily before getting to fifty. Dean Jones was lbw to Micheal holding. Even Clive Lloyd escaped a run out bid.
