It’s all the Hooper show for now. The competition is for second. Some dominators raise the level of the sport they are in, and I’m hoping that’s the end result of hoopers dominant era. However long that’s going to be. It’s really hard to see anyone challenging him in the next few years, fitness permitting. If the gaps were narrow and getting narrower, fair enough, there’d be some hope, but the gaps are wide and getting wider. And it’s like, overnight wider not over a couple of years. His rate of improvement on everything is light years away from everyone else. Exceptions aside. But there’s always the possibility another Hooper just shows up one day soon. The hydro is a great venue. Been a few times.
@terryhollandsАй бұрын
@@misterc5783 I tend to agree! He’s progressing faster than anyone and already beating them all. He won’t get beaten next year unless he gets an injury or illness

Big tom will be back for sure never rule the king of the worlds out. All the strongmen love mitch as they know the graft that goes in to move these weights and will need take note if they want to compete with him just sick of hearing its all about mitch these guys are lifting same weight but mitch is just faster and has more endurance and making other athletes out to be nothing is just madness just enjoy what the man the moose the legend and one day GOAT does
@bronchopedАй бұрын
@dg-bd1hj what a silly comment when he has won arnolds twice, wsm once, smoe once rogue once and probably another rogue win soon. Those are all multi day comps Right now mitch is significantly better than the rest. Go watch luke richardson and pa discuss it after this show. Both say he is in a league of his own
@dg-bd1hjАй бұрын
@@bronchoped a did watch it and if you read ma comment a said enjoy what mitch is doing. Big tom is only one who can compete with him when he is fully fit end off no ifs buts or maybes. And if mitch wants to enter every comp under the sun and sit and say how good he then so be it. But only one title matters and big tom has it sitting on his mantle peace with another how many 3 gold 2 silver so put that in your pipe and smoke mitch hoopers canadian ass big tom is king of world

Really enjoying your videos great knowledge and nice to hear what happened to Jaco cause he's one to watch when healthy the issue I have with Loz channel is its great hearing his views but then his misses talks and she doesn't train or compete so it's very teadiase listening to her in my opinion I'm not being sexist cause I think if they want to get women involved in talking about strongmen then have some retired strong women videos.
@hedgehog1965ukАй бұрын
Liz has an encyclopedic knowledge of the sport, sometimes even better than Loz. She does train and took part in a competition recently (I know it was "only" a one-off novice comp). Liz is also the one who edits and uploads the videos and takes all the behind the scenes footage at competitions, so she is every bit as much a part of the channel as Loz himself.
@user-my2se7sn3sАй бұрын
@@hedgehog1965uk fair comment I can't dispute her knowledge on Strongman history and helping with the channel and videos so I take it back you made a very good point but and this is my main point when it comes to what an athlete goes through she has no knowledge only from watching her husband and others now I compete in powerlifting and do some strongman stuff for fun and I enjoy listening to people that understand what a athlete goes through, the training, the dieting, etc etc and you can't say about that comp she did that was so poor her preparation and her technique/ form was not good if she's going to compete then take the training seriously and compete when properly ready the worst was her deadlift made me cringe looked like she was going to damage her back sort that form out. Just my opinion anyway I probably sound like a hater now but just say it as it is.

I don’t understand why some of the athletes eat junk foods. I think it robs them of energy over time. If Luke had held on another bit longer, he might have been standing on the podium. He did great in three of the events. I thought Luke Stoltman’s shoulder injury had finished him but he came back strong. He’s like the Cat with 9 lives.
@terryhollandsАй бұрын
I do agree in part, I think as much of your diet as possible should consist of quality foods but I will say eating 6-10000 calories a day for some people is very difficult eating all clean foods! The calories are important. I personally now have no issues chucking back 6000 calories of rice, beef and veg a day but I know some really struggle
@bobz4968Ай бұрын
@@terryhollands thanks for explaining Terry. Eating is expensive and tiring. I guess junk food is easier to get down.
@terryhollandsАй бұрын
@@bobz4968 yes mate, that and junk food is high calories with low volume. I do agree that some eat way too much junk though, something I did in my early career

Hooper is dominanting cuz the competition is weak , its like stealing cand from a baby , put him the 2010s to compete against the likes of, Zidrunas , Marius , Shaw , Terry , Lalas and Thor at their peak and i doubt he ll be barely make top 2 at most competitions let alone win them !!!
@GuitarebenАй бұрын
He'd smoke them. Faster yoke, farmers, better grip, bigger deadlift (not as big as Thor but it won't be long), better axle, bigger squatter etc etc
