In this video I show a piece of trench art, as I show a WW I bayonet that someone turned into a bowie knife, probably during WWII. Neat piece!

A Bayonet will take a edge with the sharpening work is put in ,but it not easy ,so someone did a great job on the edge. It is Cool 😎

Great find!!! I came across a World War Two German bayonet that an American soldier made into a knife. The sheath was in tatters and the leather handle was dry rotted. The blade was in great shape. I used a water buffalo horn for a handle and a local shoe repair shop made a sheath for it. I paid $5.00 for the knife and now it be in my family for generations!! Great eye on spotting your knife!

WWI was mounted to the 1903 Springfield Army Riffles. Both were used in WWII ALSO. Glad you didn't pay full price for it ! Value dropped considerably due to modifications, but good find and condition is good.

That's cool. I think the U.S. pin was something off his uniform.

Nice work.. it could have been army surplus or a trophy and altered after the war.. I read recently that some knives WERE issued with backwards sheaths for, as you stated, a reverse grip..
