I bought a 250 in Helsinki 1996, and later a 255 in Rovaniemi 2016. So every time I was in Finland I bought a knife. And this are all my knifes I have apart from Kitchen knifes.

I’m going to buy the seal xr cause from what I’ve seen in this video it is pretty much the best folding knife available.

Enjoy your video. Any knife that you can carry is better than nothing. But the Randall knife is the best on the planet. I carry Randall number 14 stainless steel blade with saw teeth in the army and out of the army never let me down. Randall ain’t cheap but what’s your life worth? My model has a 7 1/2 inch blade. I also own a Randall trout and bird knife. With 4 inch blade. With the carbon steel blade. It’s a little easier to sharpen than stainless steel models. My my Randalls serve me well. I hear there’s four or five year. Wait for one. But you can usually get them in a knife show or a gun show but they want more money. Don’t be afraid of buying a used one. Most of the ones in shows never been used. I always carry a Leatherman also. Take care enjoy every day above. Ground is a good day.

👍 in north Sweden we often use like a Mora 2000 (Kansbol) paired with a "chopper" from Stromeng in Karasjokk Norway. The Strömengs are like small machetes 7"-9" and are real good tools for the environment up here. The Mora is for guttin' fish and do bushcraft/mealprep. There are some really nice pukkos out there...if you want to spend big i recommend Kainuun Pukkos...pieces of art...made for hard used. You can hand down to your children🙏👍🇺🇦🇫🇮🇸🇪

Okay immediately I have an issue, the "carbine, mid length and rifle" isn't a different type of AR, it's just a different position of the gas block and if the bayonet fits is less where the gas block is and more if you have the appropriate length barrel for your gas block, for example a lot of what you will see is a carbine gas system with a '16 inch barrel, bayonet will go on but won't fit because the flash hider is 2 inches forward or where it's supposed to be. In case anyone is curious and the the configurations you need to fit a bayonet it works like this Carbine length gas system with a 14.5" barrel Mid length with a 16" barrel or Rifle length with a 20'

Man, you need to know your deployment methods before you make a video that’s a flipper knife/opening hole on the blade. It’s not supposed to be an automatic or spring assisted.

Im gonna "soap box" here for a minute so humor me if you will but this video got me thinking about some things. This is a pretty good introduction for American enthusiasts. However these knives have nuances that are hard to grasp if you don't know the phonics of those northernmost languages. Doing a deep dive on these tools is DEFINITELY worth the time. We are talking about storied history, multicultural variations, and it's a knife who's culture of origin insists upon two knife truths that we have forgotten. 1: they are just as simple as you please. Basic profile, modest size, general utility function. 2: Just because it is a simple tool does not mean it cant be elegant. Form may follow function. Make it beautiful, make it unique, make it yours. Too often today we are so taken with a fancy design that we want the knife without considering its actual functions. While simultaneously feeling that personalizing our tools and weapons is cringy, pretentious, or just a waste of time. I say aquire an arsenal of simple, reliable tools and weapons. Then make it your own iconic item that you could recognize anywhere and others could too. Idk who needs to hear this but, you're not a couch commando for wood burning your pukko handle, or adding a Lil copper wire inlay. You're a couch commando when you hydro-dip an Ozark trail machete in the bathtub using spray paint. Idk just a little encouragement to put a personal touch on pieces of interest.

Puukos are cool bushcraft knives and very robust. I own several Finnish Puukkos and the larger Sami knives from Martiini. Some are true works of art for collection rather than everyday use. The thick blade is not so good for fine slicing but for most outdoors purposes (and even in the woodwork workshop) the design is very robust, easy to sharpen and very versatile. The blade and handle materials will determine which type is best for what you want them to do. Overall carbon steel blades will be the most prectical and easiest to sharpen unless you work a lot in humid and wet environments (fishermen) when "stainless" type steel blades are preferred.

The most famous spanish navajas comes from the city of Albacete famously know for their knife making just like Toledo is known for their sword smiths. Also not only did they use ponchos or capes but they also used sombreros or hats. There is even technices like throwing the hat to the face of the enemy to disorient the enmy for a second to give you time to stab him.
